This is one of the most genuine reaction of Panalo I've seen. I felt your sincerity and genuine interest to understand the song even doing some research. Also watched your 27 Bodies reaction before this, and this reaction cemented my first thought. Keep doin what you doin. Real ones recognize real ones. Your sincerity makes your reactions interesting and worthwhile. You seem smart and level-headed person, too. As Ez said before, it didnt matter to him how many views he got. He just kept on going. His deathcore songs under his online bands were so low, even lower than 500 up to now, but that never stopped him from doing what he was passionate abt. His slashmouth channel's biggest video had almost half million views, i think, and that's his deathcore happy birthday song. Im so glad he never deleted those posts. They are the answer to those haters who think he made it easy. He had been grinding since he was a teen. And that's how he gained all his music knowledge and skills without any record labels backing him up. He might have had perhaps once decided to put his music on hold when he decided to join the BMT at Lackland because of financial reasons for his fam, but got medically discharged. Yeah, he was destined to be a musician. Thus the 'please take me to the light when i fail her once again' in easy going millions. He thought he failed his mom when he didnt make it to the airforce.

Ez mil is talking about food, particularly a filipino food called "turon" in that last line of that tagalog verse also mixing with it is the cat! You see, we have this food called "siopao", and we also have this urban legend story that some "siopao" is made out of cats meat. So i think somewhere there explains what he's saying in that last verse with the cat in it.

before this performance he wasn't getting any opportunity to perform on a big platform like this. This is basically his first opportunity to hop on that bus. You can see how hungry he was here through his passion I guess he was telling himself this "You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow" ( he's heavily inspired by EM) and he did! This performance went viral, this is when I discovered him and a lot of people.this started it all for him and the rest is history. He said he will put Philippines on that map and he did! I still can't believe to this day that of all the rappers/artists in the entire world.. Eminem stumbled to EZ's music.. I knew from the very start that Ez is destined to be huge but I mean to be discovered by EM by his idol its just so magical and beautiful full circle moment. I'm glad that I was able to witness this in my life time. The stars aligned for Ez and EM to cross path it's just surreal. Listening to Panalo now hits differently.. Ez MIL is a winner! If I may add Ez is not just talented but I can attest after being a fan for almost 4 years now and meeting him in person twice that he has pure heart and so humble. He stayed true to his line in Easy going Millions " I'll be me and I'll never change" he remained true to his core. He didn't change a bit even after all his accomplishments. I will forever be a solid fan... 🔥🖤🔥 EZMILdevotee

@32:50 He kinda got into trouble because of this line because some people took the literal meaning that Lapu Lapu was beheaded and that is not correct. The way I interpret this part is, EZ reps Olongapo City. I guess it means "Ulo ng Apo". Ulo means Head. Apo = ancestor in their region (maybe?) but in my dialect it can mean grandparent. I guess EZ just made it Lapu so that it rhymes.

Btw, your Tagalog interpretation was ok but he was barring in the last part so it's kinda tough. The "Bathala" word is technically Tagalog for God, although no one uses that anymore, instead we use Dios which is Spanish. Being colonized by Spain for more than 300 years will do that to a people. (That also goes back to the line "I've been in Spain but the letter S is silent - Pain" get it?) So he opted to use the Filipino term. The lines before that, you pretty much got.. like - don't under estimate him since he can rap in different languages as God (Bathala) as his witness. Then he goes "Utang na galing sa loob na lumutang" here's where it gets tricky, He stretched "Utang na galing sa loob" which is translated as "Debt coming from within" or in the Pacquiao version "Indebtedness from within" is a stretch of "Utang na loob" meaning Debt of gratitude. So the phrase "Utang na galing sa loob na lumutang" is "Debt of gratitude that surfaced". Then the translation goes "Got served with turon" Turon is a local delicacy, it's banana wrapped in spring roll wrapper that's deep fried. When you put it in the pan, it goes to the bottom but when cooked, I believe it rises. So it's a metaphor. That "pusang sinaing" means "cat cooked (like rice)", "hinain" means served, so the phrase "Utang na galing sa loob na lumutang, hinain sa turon na may pusang sinaing sa.." means a debt of gratitude that surfaced, served like "turon" with cat cooked in.." and then he was interrupted to rap in Ilocano. But that cooked cat part, he knows not everybody would get it, especially the western world, yet he exposes the truth, that in the Philippines or Asia for that matter, some culture don't mind eating cats or dogs especially when they're poor, heck they'll even eat rats. So there you go, at least for the Tagalog verse. It's a short verse that means a whole lot. Sorry I don't dare translate and interpret the Ilocano and Visayan verses as you can see, sometimes it's "area specific". Like I've only heard of cat meat fillings in steamed buns, normally its pork, but I've seen a dog meat dish. Some say it's cruel, others say it's survival. I guess he's been with all sorts of people in the Philippines, as earlier in the song he mentioned he had a homey who's crippin' and that's not normal in any culture, so the things he experienced, was tough especially when you're young. Sorry, this is too long already, I just wanted to reply to your request in the latter part of your video.
@leobaldeo90853 ай бұрын
Some of the Tagalog and Ilocano words you can't find their meanings on the internet because its so deep that even we Filipinos had to think deeply to understand their meaning. so you can't analyze some of the verses based on the internet research. 😂
