Thanks for making this video. It takes extra effort to try to show every point on the blower, including a still photo of the 3 screws, but it makes the video so much more helpful. Thanks again.

@@TopVideo77 I crawled around on the passenger-side floor, pulled down the blower and found an entire, intact, dried out leaf that had been making noise in the blower for about 4 months. Pulled the leaf out, replaced the blower, everything's good now!

That's great, I've also found leaves... and even a napkin covering the blower vent before. I was helping a buddy and he had a mouse nest in there! I'll take the leaves or napkins over that any day :-)

Great video. When i changed my 2010 4runner SR5 blower I did find it easier to leave the electrical connector on until i unscrewed the 3 screws as it was much easier to see it, press the tab and remove the connector.

I just found out that my car have not had a cabin filter since I bought it on 2009. The heater and A/C seem still be working well. I already ordered a new cabin air filter. What do you think should I take the blower moter out and clean ?
@TopVideo773 жыл бұрын
Hmm, mine is even older and has a cabin filter. That's unusual for a 2009. If you don't have any filter to worry about... all the better! Sounds like the issue would probably be with your blower motor, but take it apart first to ensure there's nothing clogging it up. Rodents love to find there way in and make homes there. Also leaves or kleenex can get stuck in there.

Is the blower resistor in the same spot on a Toyota Yaris (2007 hatchback)?
@seaneby24893 жыл бұрын
What about resistor?? What if it’s an intermittent issue
@Rangerman94045 жыл бұрын
My blower is acting very flaky, usually doesn't work unless I hit a bump just right, and when it does, it sounds like it's on low even when it's set to high speed, which I know bypasses the resistor, so not really sure what I'm dealing with, but now at least I know where to look
@KAnE3o15 жыл бұрын
If your air doesn't turn on, tap the blower fan (under glove box). The fan gets stuck sometimes, even on fans that are not worn out.
@ricardopedraza17034 жыл бұрын
Did you find out the problem? My 2017 Toyota yaris is doing the same. And yesterday it completely didn't blow any air. And today this morning I turned it on and it works but kinda slows down to a lower speed. A mechanic said it was the blower motor resistor 🤔🤔🤔🤔
@TopVideo773 жыл бұрын
start with the resistor, that will be the cheapest fix ;-)
