I think it says a lot about the functionality of the ez v for someone like your wife that just started shooting when this video was made and she adapted to it so well. Keep up the great content.

Awesome video. I think it speaks a lot concerning the EZV sight when someone is still new and can be shooting that well in such short time. We all know proper form, steady hand, and proper breathing before the shot is necessary for good shot placement. To throw in shooting a new sight that she obviously finds easier to sight with makes for some excellent shot placement. Awesome you two are able to do this together. She is doing great! She must have a good teacher. 😜 Look forward to the next one.👍 Take care.

Good stuff. I went to a local 3D range with a friend this weekend and shot through two trails (never been there before) using the EZV and NO RANGE FINDER! 510 grain arrows and 260 FPS insert. I was super impressed with how it well it worked and my friend was also. I had 2-3 shots at 50-60 yards that I hit just under or just over the target, but all the rest were kill shots. Fantastic!

Somehow, I missed this vid in your lineup this past year. Very nice that a new shooter does so well with the EZV. I agree with others she has a great teacher for sure. I sold all but one of my single pin sights and put the "V" on both my bows. Wearing glasses, I have struggled with seeing the pin then seeing past it at the objective without blur of one or the other. The V has made this issue basically vanish because I/We naturally center the target in the V. Really appreciate your in-depth videos and "telling it like it is". Keep up the good work and thanks lots.

I was going to say Jack , his wife isn’t speaking, then all of a sudden she was there speaking and taking over the show . CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎈🎊. You can take a little time off. She can do the next video like an unboxing. Seriously her performance is the result of your expertise. She performed flawlessly with 2/3 months experience.. Didn’t get rattled in front of the camera and her grouping was very nice 👍. The bad news .. Looks like you are going to Lowe’s to buy a new freezer..Hint LOL

Not criticizing just commenting. It looks like the bow is jumping a little left and right when she releases. She might be torqueing it a bit. Video is such a cool way to pick little things like that up but I can't stand to look at myself when I shoot, haha!

Not trying to be super picky or super critical of her form but might want to fix that trigger punch issue... seen at 5:28, 5:31, and 5:33 if you need multiple shots. I'm not a coach or expert or anything, so I don't know if she normally does this, but I saw she was doing that and thought I would point it out considering it does turn into target panic and that's not good...

So far I am really liking this sights open sight picture. Gives much more of an "instinctive" shooting feel than putting a pin on center. Now for me as an exclusive sight that would be the only sight I own or use isn't plausible as the sight is illegal for competition in 3D and spots. But it won't stop me from taking it into the woods!
@drewemery5734
@drewemery5734 4 жыл бұрын
Average Jack Archery ok in that case, once you have your sights dialed in. Can you swap back and forth with them holding alignment? Or would I need to re sight in every time I swapped the sight?
@averagejackarchery
@averagejackarchery 4 жыл бұрын
@@drewemery5734 If you're not changing arrows, rest, or any other things that affect the tune, then they should be dead on if you swap back and forth. For me though I use different arrows for indoor, 3D, and hunting, so unfortunately I have rest movements for tuning purposes and have to adjust my sights when I flip flop. But they're usually incredibly close to their last locations.

Drew Emery I used this sight 2 years ago and tagged my first deer, 6 point at maybe 15 yards. The good thing about it is you don’t need to range the animal or your shooting lanes. It’s simply put the vitals in the v and shoot. My shot wasn’t far but I didn’t have to think about anything but stay calm lol! Right through the heart, downed 20 yards from me. It’s not for everyone but it does work as advertised. Good luck!

haha 200 fps. That's me shooting my normal 40 pound compound with 27 inch draw length and shooting a 300 grain arrow and I can't even get lighter! Totally can understand the struggles of speed :/. Especially because of my draw length, it's just way too hard to find an arrow that's going to give me 5 grains per pound (not hunting so it doesn't matter) because I would have to find points so light that it would make my arrows a little stiff....

Why would you have that sighted in at the shoulder with such a low poundage bow. I hope your not shooting deer with 200fps, should be back more in the lungs. Good for her tho to get out there! No bash to your wife just you haha

200 FPS with a heavy high FOC arrow and good cut on contact will blow through a deer shoulder like butter. The target is just to get the 20 tick marks sighted in, not for everyday practice.
@averagejackarchery
@averagejackarchery 4 жыл бұрын
Well thankfully she doesn't hunt, (not now or ever haha!) So I'm not worried about her bow speed. She's pushing a very light arrow at 200ish FPS. Now for someone like me shooting 200fps with a heavy arrow is a different story. But she's just sticking foam to death so I'm not worried. Good catch on the peep! We're still playing around with her anchor and peep height, so that's why it's not fully tied in yet to give us some flexibility. But believe me once that's settled it'll be tied in rock solid.
@bigjohnson4427
@bigjohnson4427 4 жыл бұрын
Mossy Back I agree 200fps will kill a deer no doubt, I don’t agree a straight shoulder shot will put it down. Iv shot many many deer. Why take a chance on having her wound a deer? Might turn her off of hunting with you. Instead aim a little further back for more of a lung shot. The chances are greater, great blood trails. Props to her tho for getting out and sticking with it even if it’s just 1 day a week. She’s a good shot. Get that peep tied in ASAP! Tie around the actual peep to prevent it from coming out. If you don’t have any serving use dental floss. It has saved me plenty of times in back country hunts.
