I bought his plans a few years ago and made one. I modified the size to make it more of a rectangle instead of square. I also routed the grooves just a little bigger for ease of it fitting together. It is very strong and I do not struggle at all putting it together. It is from a guy in the UK. Obviously he did his plans in metric which was fine with me. I bought a metric tape measure. I do recommend this riser. Have used it for just about every show when I have room. I would recommend it if he still has it.

I am in the process of making a very similar drum riser. I think you will find that if you are to cut a slight angle at the entry and on each side of the slots the boards would mate far easier. I also cut my slots 1/32nd of an inch wider than the boards. I am using 1/2" Baltic Birch Plywood for my panels. My riser measures 84" wide X 64" deep from front to back. I also cut the front corners of the riser off at an angle. I found a place online where you can buy stage skirts 12" high which is the finished height of my riser. They wrap around the riser from back corner all the way around to the other back corner with velcro. Looking forward to seeing my completed.

I made one of these in the 80's. Don't know why I didn't think to cut holes for handles. Lol I have since made a couple other designs and about to build a newer one I had an idea for. I may do a video for it. Nice job on this. I like the tapered ends too.

I hope he is the roadie? The drummer would be exhausted and would have to cancel the show.
@ledhed57175 ай бұрын
Nonsense, I use mine almost every show. It goes up and tears down really easy. I did router my grooves just a tad bigger so they slip in and out easier.

It's your story...you can tell it however you want but the guy struggling in the actual video says it all. Cheers.@@ledhed5717
