This is actually good. IMHO they’re going to use him for pass protection where he block or slip out & catch a short pass & in short yardage situations. Zeke can help to protect Dak, he’s now affordable & he will be good for the locker room. It’s a good fit for both.

@@michaelcarson121 Yes that’s what he averaged with the Patriots. He might average 4 yards per carry with that Cowboys line but he’s a good RB for punching it in the end zone or distracting defenses from the 3 yard line or less. Otis Anderson was the MVP of the Super Bowl where the 1990 Giants beat the Bills. Otis was good for burning clock. If Zeke can get 3.5 yards per carry & avoid losing yards he’s good in a nice long drive. I believe he will average about 4 per carry this year & that he will help Dak. That’s what older backs do. At one time older backs still had value for their teams if they were smart players. I believe it’s going to work out well for the Cowboys but we shall see.

@@ngc-fo5te He’s only making approx $1.2M. He already knows the system so he will never miss a block like rookies often do. It’s worth it to make Dak more confident in his pass protection. He & Dak have a connection & as long as Zeke isn’t the bell cow he will contribute to the offense for a great price.

Really surprised cowboys didn’t make a move for a back. I think they’re legit tanking for Belechik and a franchise QB draft in 2025. A lot of things aren’t adding up. Even rams and packers with studs like Kyren and Jacobs reinforced their backfields with Corum and Marshawn respectfully. It’s insane Dallas didn’t make eye popping moves
