Omer is a young man living a simple life working at his father’s workshop. He plans to marry Eyşan after he returns from his military service. However, his life turns into ruin when he finds himself in prison guilty of murder. He meets Ramiz inside, who becomes Omer’s second father. Omer turns into Ezel by a series of plastic surgeries and hiding his real identity. After he gets out of prison, he goes on a revenge mission after Eyşan, his best friend Cengiz, and Ali whom he always looked up to. Love, power, money, mafia intrigues become a part of their life and every one of them feeds off revenge.

Bravo to the writers, directors, actors, musicians and costume department. This series was so impressive to watch. It must have been mentally , physically, and emotionally draining for the actors to go through all of those emotions and physical altercations. They made it look so real that it almost seemed like a reality show.. I love Turkish Series, Thank you for the English subtitles. I thought that the old Rami and the young Rami could have passed for father and son. In my opinion Turkish actors are on another level. Excellence in Action!

Story long ended according to ramiz .. what happened after didn't happen according to ramiz.. unless the translation is wrong.. either way .. I thought the dad lived and mom died. It would seem that it's a bit ambiguous.eshyan clearly died ..from what the doctor stated.. why would they leave their son ?? They wouldn't.. I think both died perhaps

We need the sequel urgently… the story of Can after discovering the love of his parents and what they went through. It is the most powerful series I’ve seen of love, power, vengeance and wisdom. Love love love Ezel.

How come people don't understand? Ramiz's story about the ring explains you everything. He gave him that ring knowing Omer well. Ezel/Omer had that one reason to start a new life and that reason is of course Can. It showed how the story would usually end, Ezel kills himself because of Eysan, but actually story is one thing and reality something different. A NEW LIFE START AND DESERVE EZEL/OMER AND CAN, besides Can's smile tells you everything.

The ending was clear Ezel is dead, just like how the other people in their life who already passed away were shown in the train with them Ezel went with Eysan as well, the writers have just given as a glimpse of what Ezel would want if he still alive nd that is for Can to find out who his real father is, they r just giving us hope that Ezel is still alive, His reason why he is still living is because of Eysan nd for revenge now that everything was already finish Eysan already gone his life ends as well.

I am not one to comment whilst watching the series! But the end has come and I must say Hats off to the script writers, directors, actors and all involved to make this such a remarkable one! We might say that revenge is best served on a cold plate but no friends only forgiveness is the way out to continue with your life and to move on. Thank you , I love Turkish series so much ! I would like to congratulate the whole team for making a wonderful series that is so engaging to watch. Turkish series never fail to impress me much. My sleepless nights are worth it. I treasure all the wisdom I gain from the scriptwriters. Every line has deep meanings and should be read between the lines sometimes. There were too many life lessons that watchers can get from this story. Ironies in life are also well portrayed. How life can bring us up and bring us down in an instant. POVERTY AND WEALTH. POWER AND WEAKNESS. AUTHORITY AND MEDIOCRITY. TRUST AND BETRAYAL. GREED AND CONTENT. LIFE AND DEATH. No matter which situation we are in, we should be flexible and content. All of the actors did justice to their roles. Everyone played important part in the series. Though it is tragic because of many deaths. As written in the Holy Qur'an, “Every soul will taste death...'' Looking forward to another series made by your team!

Isn’t that what Eyshen did to people. Didn’t she destroy lives? Omer’s whole life was destroyed because of Eyshen. Mert died because of Eyshen. Omer’s parents lost 2 sons because of Eyshen. Omer didn’t get to see his son being born because of Eyshen. Eyshen scammed, lied and swindled men to get what she wanted. In the end one of the men she swindled killed her. Yeah, you're right! Can finally found out the truth about his famíly. Ali and Azad must have told him as ezel asked them. Thats why Can recognizes Omer Uçar as his real father and changes his last name. He now knows he is Can Uçar, Omer's son.

I’m certain you did not properly follow the events of the story. Eysan is also a victim, she literally grew up in chaos. Whatever she did was to survive and keep her family safe. She didn’t know about the murder frame on Omer until much later. The girl has been abused severally both emotionally and physically. She wholeheartedly loved Omer but she felt she needed to be loyal to her family. She lost a lot: mom, dad, sister, aunt despite her best efforts to save them. She is the only one whose initial reason for betraying Omer was valid. Both Ali and Cengiz had no reason to betray Omer than greed, Ali even went further to threaten to kill Omer’s mother while he was in prison. If Bahar’s case wasn’t that critical Eysan wouldn’t have done it, she was going to break up with Omer through a letter telling him of her father’s plans but then her father caught up with her and pressured her the more till she eventually gave in

Her mother died, she abandoned her sister, stole the money from her father and took off to Istanbul. Bahar even threw that in her face. Then instead of trying to find the money to help her sister, she planned with her father to frame the man she claimed to love. She knew during the trial she was sending Omer to prison for murder, so why didn’t she stop it? GMAB with the whole “ she had a bad childhood”. Cengiz was abandoned by his parents, Temmuz lost his parents and his twin brother at a young age and was raised to be a murderer, Tefo lived with the guilt of killing his sister (forced by his parents) and Ali lived with the guilt of killing a little boy and sending his father to prison. They all had horrible childhoods. Tefo lost his entire family, served time in prison, but he would have never betrayed the one he loved unlike trashy Eyshen. I give props to Cengiz for killing her. Best thing he ever did for Omer.

Just finished watching this series.. Overall it a good series but could have been so much better. All the actors were very good as well as the original/main story line. Then it at times became too dragging, too many subplots, bad guys getting away too many times, too many people died unnecessary . Think Ezel could have had a better outcome considering all the things he had to endure. I felt he started out as a strong, big, brave character but in the end I found him weak.. was disappointed that he couldn't emotiomally let go of Eyshan to the extent where he chose to die just to be with her. For what Omer/Ezel went through, they deserved a better ending.

Omg, what an ending that's a good twist, the story he would have killed himself to be with her but the reality is different he lived, took the lighthouse and waited to allow Can to live a normal childhood and for omer/ezel to heal (as much as you can for that amount of whump he went through!) Well done to the writers there are more twists and turns than in a game of monopoly! Can as an adult looks familiar though 🤔

The ending was not fair to Omer/Ezel. To me Esyan received her just desserts. With one betrayal, Eyshan created a rippling effect that not only took many lives but also crippled Omer/Ezel emotionally for life. For me Eyshan did not deserve Omer/Ezel’s love. And even in her dying state she did not think of her Son. Her last words were for Omer/Ezel to live ... maybe it was the script writer’s to forget she had a Son. How could a mother forget her child even n her dying state.

This story line goes to show that you need to check out people's backgrounds as they all were affected by their childhood experiences. Although Omer's love in the beginning came from a pure heart which Eshan recognized, she, couldn't help but destroy it. The ending is really shitty, especially when you have such a lovely son which you would not want to let others take care of. In the end Eshan screwed up Ezel life by the poor choice he made by staying with her and not choosing Bade who would have been a wonderful mother to Can and whose love for Ezel/Omer came from a pure and selfless heart who wanted only the best for him. Yet he still chose to take his own life leaving Can an orphan. How screwed up can you get? Be careful who you choose for your friends.

Eysan did not destroy. Eysan was destroyed. All she did was sacrifice herself for everyone else. Ali and Cengiz betrayed Ezel so many times. No revenge from them. Eysan paid every day. She was part of trapping him in a theft case. She did not plan murder. She did not even agree to stealing. Serdar blackmailed her about Bahar's life. Ali and Cengiz planned with Serdar the murder plot. They double crossed Eysan. She wasn't aware of murder plot.

Kara Sevda is my second favorite turkish series, this show earned the first place. And I understand what you're saying, but that is the point of the series, because if there was the happy ending, it would have been forgotten very soon, but anytime someone mentions 'Ezel' or 'Kara Sevda' we remember it with a bit of a bitter taste, and our hearts skip the beat.. It was worth every second of watching.

I stayed up watching 4 hours then went to sleep. Told myself this was too drawn out for simple revenge. Turkish series are very engaging . Wonderful excellent actors but as usual they have too many storylines going on sometimes .they are not connected very coherently to the main story most of the time. I knew this was going to end badly so I skipped to The end. It was good overall but a time waster.

Totally, right. Ezel could not live without Eysan and Eysan too. The same happened with Ramiz who decided when was the right time to die. After Selma's death, because he couldn't not live anymore without her. The meaning is the life after death and the everlasting love, but most of the people cannot see this.

Dumb a** writers. Could have made the ending more concrete instead of choice of this or that. Wasn't it bad enough to put us thru 2 long episodes of coming to horrible conclusions. Every time we got our hopes up you jerked us around again for another fail. You made good and interesting characters --- got us attached to them --- to rip them away. This you became good at. I've watched several Turkish series but Kiralik Ask (Love Rental) is still my all time favorite! It's a feel good movie and actors were all convinving with the way they portrayed their roles! Also Seyet ve Sura, based on true story is also very good! Try them folks! Ezel is also a good passionate love story!

The ending is not clear, ramiz says in background that the story he told had already finished before and in real life love is not stronger than vengeance. In episode 69 ezel meets with all eysan ali and cengiz and tells them he is finished with them and drives away. This can be the real ending of the series. But drinking the thing in the ring and starting over might also be, hard to say

It is not easy to come to final but here l am a finish watching all episodes thanks to crew and producers make it happen so that we can enjoy watching this drama. I did not like Ezel to die at the end because of love.

Loved the beginning of the series, but sadly the ending ruined it for me. The only issue I had with the series was they portrayed him as 2 different people. Didn’t buy it for a second. A person could change their name, but not their being. After killing Kenen, Omer wanted to start a new life with Bade. I believe he fell in love with Bade, but when she turned him down, he lost all hope. When he lost hope, he lost himself and went back to what he knows. His old neighborhood, his old job and Eyshen. I don’t believe he loved Eyshen. Had Bade given him a chance, he wouldn’t have gone back to Eyshen. He even told Bade that she was his only hope for a good life. The ending was lazy writing. Omer would never have left his son or his family after fighting so hard for them. That’s not who he was. They should have ended it with him and Bade living happily with his son. The only thing that made me happy was that Eyshen suffered and died. She deserved what she got. Overall a good story, but not realistic. In the real world a person would have never forgiven Cengiz, Ali and especially Eyshen.

Your be waiting a long time the series finished, Yes that was Ömer/Ezel at the door of the lighthouse, Basically emir knew what he'd do so I'd expect it wasn't a drug to kill him but knock him out, Can grew had a normal childhood one of love and care just like Ömer wanted. In the end they meet. When Can is old enough to understand the story. Emir was a genius planning it out with a few forks in the road of course, but father and son are finally reunited.

This is a great movie all the actors and actresses gave justice to the story.this also show when the love is meant for the two souls it will always meet down the road to fulfilled the unspoken words and dream that was meant to be till death..congrats to the writer directo actors and actresses..its a movie to tell...❤❤❤

Crappy ending . It could have been one of the greatest story line with a happy ending and the lessons learned are: love, forgiveness, and second chances have won over suffering, injustice, and evil. That justice and good won in the end.
