Best design that I've seen as it is able keeps the angle constant irrespective of the length of the blade, unlike most other knife sharpeners where the angle changes as the stone move from the centre of the blade to the edges + it uses common stones that can be obtained in almost any hardware stores in the world.
@who-man76995 жыл бұрын
Nope nope nope that's all in how you mount the blade in the device!!! You have to make sure to try and keep the cutting edge as parallel at the mounting bracket as possible but when the edge curves up to the tip you need to pull the tip out if the clamp a little to try to keep a uniformed bevel if you have a device like this you well understand what I'm talking about

The tool looks interesting. However, even with the sound level on my devise all the way up, it was very difficult to hear how one is to set up the unit.

i like it, and i was thinking of making this 20 years ago, why i thought of thid b/c the angle is the exact or closer too than aa rod thaat goes through a hole and doing a long knife does in some way though not much effect angle, but we like perection, this horizontal part lets you move the wole arm, , i hope ez sharp did a good job and t works better than edge pro or other similar types

Just purchased. great tool. just wondering why the Tbar was set at 40mm , is that set by width of blade of just a general setting.
@whiskeyinthejaro6 ай бұрын
I imagine that the height of the rail or the "adjacent" 40mm height relates to the distance the knife is set from the rail to achieve the desired angle. I like the look of it. It makes more sense and appears more cost effective than some of the other systems that I see on sale. Many of them seem over done and include electronic angle devices. I think I will give this one a go.
@EumlOriginal4 жыл бұрын
in German one calls such a device "Schätzeisen" = estimate iron how should one adjust exactly when the scale has so much distance the height of the guide also has an influence on the angle, just like the thickness of the stone

stone size needed?? would spyderco ceramic 2x8 inch stones work?
@VladyslavShchelkov4 жыл бұрын
did you have think about the pressure and weight of the stone on the blade during developing??? But anyway for sharpening of axe is is OK

I saw another review of this where diamond was used. It was done dry and using quite a surprising amount of pressure.

I'm really pleased with this! It works like a charm kzbin.infoUgkxDcr-y2Pf6xdnrFHrSP7dl9kpKaCozcSQ Takes less time than my old electric sharpener because it can take more off the knife faster, and then it smooths out nicely with the finer grit polisher. I don't know how long it will last before the grit wears away, but I wouldn't mind having to replace it every once in a while.

как профи он должен был показать угломером состояние ножа до заточки и после.2. как он попадает на подвод? 3. И главное-он не показал точность поворотного механизма..На этих механизмах от RX-008 часто расхождение бывает и по 2грд

What a crappy system. Looks like you are removing a ton of metal, too. Notice how he has to twist the stone to do the tip? That's begging for inconsistent results. Personally, I also hate to need tools just to clamp the blade, not to mention the jaws aren't padded so they will scratch the blade. Guess you's better not sharpen anything with a mirror polish! It would also be nice if you learned the lingo...like primary vs secondary bevel and apex..that's pretty basic in the world of sharpening. All said and done, fine if all you are sharpening are dollar store kitchen knives. Oh, and before I forget..what's the deal with the "40"? You never explain what that is, why its selected or what it relates to.

"Looks like" Clearly you haven't used the system thus your comments hold as much merit as an online troll. "You's" This isn't even a word which further indicates how much merit your knowledge you have let alone basic communication ability. I suggest before you make such negative comments on a product that you use it first before putting fourth unwarranted slander against it.

Wicked edge at least has a guide to set the knife at the same depth and ruler so position to the top is the same. No need to flip it. Sorry but painful to watch in comparison.
@paulg6662 жыл бұрын
@@EdgeMasterPro If you have used this and the Wicked edge, then you would know this is much better. The wicked edge can't keep consistent angles along the whole length of a large blade. Try doing a 12in blade or a machete on the Wicked edge. The wicked edge is great for small to medium sized knives.

Wicked edge cost more 11x than this ezesharp. Same out put. Goodluck the diamond stone on wicked edge. Cost you around 700$. I am a meat workers for 15yrs. Tried everything sharpener. From 80$ stone upto 30k$ jarvis machine sharpener used by the company i work for. This one is cheap and the best so far. Can used different kind of stone available in market. From diamond, silicon carbide, aluminium oxide, and Japanese whetstone. Trust me this one is better. If you work on meat processing.
