Ubisoft should stay fateful to the original combat system but tweaking it a bit so you don't always insta kill after countering, maybe stun them and allow elite enemies to evade the insta kill or punish you when countering them on high health. Plus add more kill animation and adopt unity parkour style. If I remember correctly, in brotherhood, the enemy captain can evade your counter kill and in revelations the Janissaries were the only enemy that can be intimidating to face because the way they fight you (I don't remember how but I remember vaguely that they do give me a bit of a hard time fighting them). This is what I hope to happen. The story is already magnificent, tweaking the combat system to be a bit more challenging but staying fateful, will make the game even more better than the og.

I've seen the rise and fall of Ubisoft in my 28 years of life. One of the first games I remember playing was Splinter Cell on the OG Xbox with my dad. Then I remember when Assassins Creed came out and couldn't believe a game like that could exist. Then AC2 came out and it felt like anything was possible. They went on to make some great games and good games, but it seems like after the release of Watch_Dogs, the company has been in a downward spiral with only a few moments where things look like they're turning around. I'd say when they changed how the AC games play (even though Origins is a fantastic game, it set the path we're on now). Skull and Bones was a disaster. They have single-handedly destroyed all of their OG Tom Clancy IPs (Ghost Recon? Gone. Rainbow Six? Not even close to what it originally was. Splinter Cell? There hasn't been a proper installment of the game since Double Agent). They tout around their fan-favorite characters like Sam Fisher in every other game except making a game for the series. It makes me tired. I no longer care about Ubisoft games. They announce something and all I can expect is mediocrity at best. What a bloody shame.

For AC1 remake I hope they introduce the Bloodlines and Altaïr's Chronicles stories to make it the complete Altaïr story and for AC 2, Brotherhood and Revelations it would be awesome if all the maps of AC2, plus Rome and Istanbul were all inside the same game and we followed the story of Ezio since his youth to his elder days in one single game, with the ability to travel to all the maps whenever (though we would only be able to travel to the maps we already discovered) with the corresponding npcs, weapons, armor and missions, imagine the possibilities. Ofc if present day comes back as well Desmond's story wouldn't change much, it would just be a new focus to the story in real time instead of being separate stories in different games. I think all this could work with today's technology

It would be a different game though, instead of being set in one or various places inside a country, it would be a constant change of atmosphere and all the time you'd see new places and encounter new enemies. It would work alright as a smaller game, because I can't picture that game as an open world. If anything, it would be similar to Uncharted 4 in that there would be occasional open areas in determined zones, which is cool for a change

I pray they don't modernise AC1. The beauty of the game is in its immersion. No map needed, minimal hud, proper social stealth with environmental clues and storytelling that make you feel like a true Assassin. No other game in the whole series is anything like it which is a huge shame. If they keep the original feel while only fixing the jank (parkour bugs, Kingdom) then it'll be perfect

@IIPre What are you talking about? The remake isn't even out yet so how would you know that. If you're referring to newer AC games then you haven't played AC1 to know what I'm talking about. Everything in AC1 uses in game clues/landmarks to lead you to objectives so you never have to open up the map to do anything. In the newer games, there's no way of knowing where some of the missions/targets are without opening up the map

Just thought of a way to make almost everyone happy for assasin creed… Bring back the og fighting style for the story/ single player mode that way you don’t piss off OG fans And put the rpg fighting style in à multiplier mode where you can either fight players or npc, you can even keep the game alive by putting new quest and mission every month or something

Honestly it would’ve been much better if they done a division type online with AC multiplayer create your character choose an assassin or Templar faction and team up with other players to complete missions in the world or queue to a load in mission like in unity. But I think it would’ve been a great way to bring back modern day assassin’s while allowing us to shift between the animus reliving our ancestors past or our character’s present. Real AC fans would’ve preferred if Ubisoft kept making series set in Renaissance Europe, expanding on the old storyline instead of chasing trends. It’s not too late though-if they go back to what made AC epic in the first place, they’d sell tens of millions of copies. . . . Well, maybe not here in Eastern Europe, where we just torrent everything... but still, huge potential elsewhere!

A smart move would be to remaster AC Unity with all the recent praise it's gotten in the with newer hardware. People can finally appreciate how beautiful it is! It is the last true AC game. It looks better than all the recent AC games they''ve released. I'd love to see it. Probably wouldn't even take much, because it's so good looking already and stability is already there.

AC3 Remaster looked like AC3 with just reshade thrown on so i doubt the games will look that good. Unity 2014 is still the best looking Ubisoft game and that game is literally a decade old... But Mirage and Valhalla didn't look bad, it's just the clunky animations that i disliked.

Sounds amazing, AC3 for instance was the first one I played and loved the historical side to it, I'm looking forward to that and definitely looking forward to Black Flag, that was a game a cut above the rest.

No one asked, but for me, AC3 was the only one from AC1 to Syndicate that I just couldn't get myself to play through to the end. I've tried 3 times and stopped half way. There's just something about it that doesn't capture me like the other AC titles I mentioned, which I've played through multiple times each, with my favourite being Ezio's trilogy. Can't wait for the remake.

Ubisoft is too busy burning I doubt we’ll see anything coming from them. All their best ac titles you can already play on PS4/XB1 (if xbox then even AC1), people are fatigued already with remakes/remasters no one asked for all while ignoring what the audience really wants. If you really want remakes/remasters for performance, just buy an exploitabld ps4, apply a 60fps patch on those games or buy a Steam Deck/PC & you know… get the game through whatever means (remember, they told you you’ll better get used to not owning your video games).
