You can also use wild seeds. On ginger island planting wild seeds will net you melons/blueberries/wheat/garlic I think. I’m sure about those first two. Also pineapples maybe

For iridium krobus you need lvl 10 fishing + the master enchant witch will make it 11 + seafood pudding witch will make it lvl 15 so you can cast far enough to get iridium krobus

Or you can just clip out of bounds by swinging your sword at the transition to town and then walk over and just get it at level one.

You can also use Qi seasoning when making seafoam pudding and it will give a 5 bonus instead of 4, so you dont have to get the enchant

Whenever I'm in the wrong season for the gourmand frog's request, I just plant mixed seeds on the island. It works every time.

Prismatic Jelly despawns after the quest is turned in. As soon as you turn in the quest, it will despawn after the day ends, regardless of how it's stored.

If people REALLY want to power play a strong start on the mines, try to catch and sell a treasure box on top of the regular fishing you do. The super early copper pickaxe is a great idea, but I normally roll with getting the first backpack upgrade. But with a early treasure box and the copper pickaxe technique you can dig down fast and for a while without sacrificing any pickups. And if you're mega lucky you'll get the Neptune's Glaive weapon from a fishing chest as well.

To complete the frogs request you can use mixed seeds bc melon, garlic, and wheat naturally grow on ginger island according to him. It won't be as neat and quick but it's super easy and cheap

You can frequently get the snowman rarecrow from the travelling cart and it's only 4000 g. Is there a way to keep the extra prismatic jelly? I've always found it despawns the next day after the quest. I wish you could make it into a shirt or something.

@@gsgaming6976 oh definitely I agree, I just wish that there were more loose min-max/ ‘how to make the best start’ kind of guides that didn’t depend on clay farming or using the Seed to know which geodes, dustbins to open, when bubbles/ladders/rain/trains/fairies will appear etc. It can feel kinda like flogging a dead horse in the dark on console at times when you see the starts people can make on PC.

@@gsgaming6976 yeah, I mean I’m happy and I’ve played through quite a few times; i have AuDHD and I get into hyperfocus with the grind!! I like facts and research and I like to try out the different farm layouts and approaches like what will happen if I focus on mining etc so I have built my own strategy for a new playthrough whenever I try a new one- I know there’s no pressure on me it’s my own challenge to myself to make the best farm I can for my needs/expectations not necessarily the richest/quickest farm but yeah so much focus on PC exploits can get a bit tiresome even if it’s just my own head that’s challenging me!

Yeah I don't bother worrying about rock crabs or anything like that because 80% of my mining is done by bombs. I always have my pickaxe with me though because you can't use bombs to get through those large rocks

Craft a tapper and put it on an oak tree, you'll get oak resin every few days :)
