Ezra Sosa on Anna Delvey’s ‘ICONIC’ Response to ‘DWTS’ Elimination (Exclusive)

Controversial “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Anna Delvey and her partner Ezra Sosa were among the first two couples sent home in week 2. After the show, “Extra’s” Melvin Robert caught up with Ezra solo. He spoke about a moment where Anna broke down over the all the backlash and how he supported her through it. Ezra also reacted to Anna’s comment that she’ll take away “nothing” from the show. Plus, he said he wants America to know how “incredibly sweet” and “misunderstood” Anna is. “DWTS” airs Tuesdays on ABC.

Give me a break she was wearing an ankle bracelet. They tried to normalize it but the voters stepped up and said hell no. I feel bad for him and that he got her his first year. And the judges shouldn't tell us or the audience how to feel about it. They have jobs because the voters made the show popular.

Absolutely. She never should have been on DWTS. Yes. Everyone deserves forgiveness. But she was not entitled to the rewards or exposure of a deserving "star" on a "family show." The show is lucky that the other contestants are very likable, or ratings would have dropped drastically. Kids watch this show. What was ABC thinking?

it’s not that people don’t want to “give her a chance”, it’s the fact that she is being rewarded this amazing, rare, once in a lifetime opportunity BECAUSE of her “mistakes”. she is a celebrity BECAUSE of her criminal behavior. THAT is why people are not okay that she was cast.

I like Ezra and I have a lot of respect for him. I feel like it says a lot about him that regardless of her past, he was still able to be kind and encouraging towards her. I think that he was a good partner and really showed that he deserves to continue to be a pro. ❤❤
