@@Vernonchan Is there a lag between the time you give google assistant a command to brighten/dim lights? Do you have the colour changing type like my C by GE? If so does the phillips allow you to change the colour by voice prompt too? Ie hey google change master bedroom lights medium purple 50%.

I made the huge mistake of working with EZVIZ, a total failure, I did a wifi distance test and 6 cameras only 2 worked correctly, the others had to be next to the Router, I tried with a Hikvision WIFI NVR and 5 cameras only 1 worked. We check all the points, update firmware, change the NVR and it still doesn't work

I've been doing this for a while with this very same camera. I installed it in my room and I receive full video updates many miles away on my cell phone using only mobile data. This is a really impressive piece of gear 😊

You can watch whatever is recorded on the SD card, yes, without a connection.

Mate. When I finished scanning the qr code of my ezviz c6cn, it say "device is powered on". But as soon as I hit continue, it didn't went straight to "WiFi set up" but into "wired connection" instead. Is there any way to change the configuration of "wired connection" to "WiFi"? Thanks.

That's super odd to send you to a wired connection. You don't have a cable connected do you?

Yes you will need internet if you plan to remotely access the camera. Technically if you are only accessing within your home, then you'll just need a working Wi-Fi connection

I am currently trying yi dome U IP camera and the motion alert notifications are limited to once / 10 minutes if I didn't subscribe to their cloud storage, which sounds like breachable to me. Another let down is that I can only view 2x2 grid when I plan to use 7 cameras together.

@@biznisman7049 1. Yes, there is the EZVIZ PC Studio users can get for free at EZVIZ's website. 2. Still checking on recording to PC function 3. On scanning QR code, as long as the Android tablet can download the EZVIZ app, there should be no issues. As the app will have the function to scan QR codes on the device to pair 4. Awaiting official response from EZVIZ

You can't power off the camera but you can switch it to privacy mode (shuts the lens cover). You can also set notification schedule for motion tracking.

@@geraldmanuel881 Sorry for the late reply. Yes you can access the camera even if you're out of the country since it is IP-based. First time setup both your phone and camera needs to be connected to the same WIFI, but after you can access your camera from anywhere, as long as your camera is online

If you're using external storage such as microSD, it does not record 24/7, only when set to autodetect motion. If you use EZWIZ Cloud storage, then it will be able to record 24/7. In general, GB consumption will depend on the resolution that you set - Standard, High or Ultra HD. HD-quality video uses about 0.9GB (720p) or 1.5GB (1080p) per hour.

Thanks for the support! The camera is primarily controlled/managed by the EZVIZ app. The Android and iOS apps are free to use. If you do need to use cloud storage, then there are various paid subscription plans to look at. In terms of security and privacy, I would not be able to comment if there's a "backdoor."

It's a piece of crap. Don't buy it!! Seriously. It only worked for around 1-2 month then constantly giving me headache. I contacted the brand's support team and pretty much useless. I rebooted several times, updated when needed it etc. Obviously now I can't return it. Don't even consider buying it. You will save a lot of time and hassle for yorself.
