Great video. From the box the light is on 24-7. How do you switch it off and set it to stay on for a short time when motion is detected?

Hi Andy , the light should not be on 24/7 , can you default it , press and hold the reset button under the rubber flap and then re-add it to the EZviz app , then when added you should be able to set the time the light is on after a detection , and make sure if the schedule light function is off or not set to 24/7 as you can programme this to come on at pre-set times

@@DVSLTD Thanks for reply that didn't work. I used the support chat in the app to speak with them. I was told this was a known issue with my model and would be fixed in the next release. They didn't respond when i asked when that would be. ... I'll update this when it is resolved.

@@acap56789 that isn’t an issue , I have one fitted and the light comes on only when there is movement and not any other time , and only when its dark hours , unless you have a different model based on the country you live, in the UK this certainly works

I have this one, but can you please make a tutorial on all the settings and what they do. Like what does the "Armed" thing do. What does it mean that it is "Armed" or "not Armed" also all the other settings. I find no info on them.

That's a really useful review, thanks mate! I am just wondering, can it be used as a general light triggered by motion detection (I mean by any object moving in front of the camera) or does it have to be a human? E.g. will the light turn on while I am parking my car, or will it wait for me to come out of the car? EZVIZ has made their AI human recognition a huge selling point, so much that I don't know if the light can be used without it :D

in short it can be used without a human , there are 2 modes really and one will really trigger with a moving object , mine generally does turn on with my car also , but it may be times its missed like any AI

But it got me thinking also, since I was going to mount it above my front door, which is 2.7m above the ground, I am not sure if it will trigger when I am walking out the front door. Walking in - no problem, it can detect me from the parking lot easily, but walking out, given the vertical angle of 75 degrees, tilted down for additional 15 degrees, this might be a problem :/ Kinda bummed, I got really excited for it after watching your review.

on what model? have you tried adjusting the view so the light is not direct into the view , therefore not effecting the Iris

You can connect many to the app but we cant control them all at the same time sadly currently

Missed a trick by only supporting 2.4Ghz. More and more routers in the UK working on both bandwidths.

I'm guessing it's on purpose. A 2.4Ghz signal will travel much further than a 5Ghz signal. If this is intended to be outside, it makes sense it'd leverage the lower frequency. Further, it probably reduces costs not having to support a 5Ghz signal.

@@tsnorquist yeah I get that part. But the likes of VM routers lose a lot of you have to turn off the 5Ghz frequency just to utilise the 2.4. They seem to struggle to differentiate when a device only works on 2.4 and drop frequently

A nearly there product but the security light functionality is poor. All my solar security lights have a dim all night and bright on detection option. For

I have four ezviz Cameras and the LC3 is by far the worst in my opinion. At night the promised Ai human detection range of 30ft is just not true.... It is around the 20ft mark at best and literally everything seems to set it off!! Car lights, bugs, heavy rain and sometimes even street lights. Playing around with settings and detection senticivity doesn't tend to help. The two way speaker is OK but does suffer from a time lag. Really like ezviz but generally speaking this is a disappointing product.

Cette camera est une daube !!! HS au bout de 4 mois un beau point rouge apparait sur l'image déformée problème d’étanchéité pourtant garantie IP65.......... la lumière s'allume pour tout et n'importe quoi . l’écoute du son enregistré est pourri on ne comprend absolument pas les conversations . Content d'avoir été remboursé par le vendeur.
