I have wheels on my Freewing Stinger 64 4S. It goes along the grass FOREVER before it takes off! I need Captain Blaz to throw it!! Great fun video again chaps. Note, it's EPS foam that breaks into little pieces. EPP is the bendy stuff that is used in profile planes like the Twisted Hobbys range.

Worth the perseverance! Looked so good in the air. Those small wheels just no good for grass though. Always a problem with 70mm EDF jets. Awesome though. We need a 90mm or 120mm EDF version. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)

+1 for Captain Blaz for the execllent filming!! Unless you have tried yourself to film RC planes you don't know how hard it is. How he finds the planes in the sky and get's them re-centered so quicky is amazing. Once you're looking into the view finder, eveything is so damn small, it's really tough. And when you look out side the viewfinder to reaquire the plane, you then have to pull the zoom back to get it in the general area and now everything is really really small - and moving. Anyway, I salute Captian Blaz on his wonderful filming skills!

If you make the front landing gear taller, it will lift off the ground quickly! Front landing gear to short causes air pressure on top of wing thus holding it tightly to the ground! 😁

I would take the retracts and servos out...save weight. Make a hand grip for the bottom from several layers of 5mm sheet foam (depron) laminated together. Also, paint an American flag on the bottom, or whatever design you like. This plane is very easy to lose perspective on, especially in late afternoon/ evening light conditions. Having a different pain scheme on the bottom helps, and the American flag pattern is scale to a real F-117 that flew at airshows. I designed and scratch built an F-117 and posted the plans on RCGroups dot com back in 2005 or 2006. Google DCobra F117, that's the plane. I love seeing these kitted now and using EDF's, great video guys!

I love it Tom. But this is really not a plane for grass runway. But if you have asphalt you will love it. Its really so easy to handle in the air. I couldnt believe it. Really... I have ordered bungee launch and we will test it as soon as I get it. I will try those 64mmEDFs with it and see what will happen and if we can recommend that for easier takeoffs... I think the rear gear doors act like an air brake. After first one ran out of power and glided into a corn field, I took the back cover( on the mains) off. Servoless retracts and 250 ft of runway. She flies great aye

The F-117 is unable to achieve the angle of attack during the short take off run,bungee launch will work really well,I was quite surprised Robert how well this stealth fighter handles,just land her gear up and enjoy the flight,your brother running to the camera was funny but he did good coverage of the flight,well done gentlemen.
