A stellar interview from, I believe, the most comprehensive aviation interviewer/author. I haven’t found another that does such a deep dive. Congrats on the 100!

Great hearing Disco's story again. He was my Vice Wing CC at Eglin, during my short time as a Gorilla. Fine gentleman and treated us non-flyers (I was Life Support then) with respect. He even wanted his jet on a decal sheet I was helping to create for scale models. Thanks for the show.

Great to "meet" Disco. I look forward to the next 2 episodes & will search out his Battle of Britain book. F-15 Eagle Engaged has graced my bedside table frequently over the years. I highly recommend it for the beautiful photos & great stories. 👌 Congrats also to @10percenttrue on the "centenary", I'm proud to be part of the journey.

When he said "the carrying capacity of the F-100", he was referring to a Ford pickup circa 1975,😅

Sitting here in my 10 Percent True t-shirt (by coincidence) listening to a great interview. I almost certainly worked on several aircraft that Disco flew. I was a Structures guy at Holloman from October 1983 until the F-117’s showed up in 1992.

Another great interview, thank you for your time and energy making this video. I was hoping that while on the F-16 topic you would have asked Disco if he knew why the F-16 was not allowed to have the Sparrow operationally. While on the topic he discussed shortcomings of the F-16 but there's been a lot of rumors about why it never got certain armaments. rumor has it that the F-16 was designed to be a Air attack aircraft but because certain people were scared that the F-15 would lose its job. Another rumor has it that McDonald Douglas designed the f-15 with mud in mind and in the systems but because someone did not want to get dirty, they had engineering hide and then omit those functions.

This episode simply reinforces my view that your content is without peer in this niche Steve. Yet again I thank and commend you on your production. Thanks to Disco also. I will surely lose a couple of hours of my life to part 2, as soon as it airs.

Long -time/first time. Thoroughly enjoyable as usual. This really is the best aviation content available in my humble opinion. As someone who purchased Eagle Engaged when it was released I particularly enjoyed hearing from Doug in person. Keep up the outstanding work Steve, looking forward to part two.

This another fantastic interview. I think the only other one I enjoyed this much was the one with Paco Geisler, which is saying a lot because you’ve had so many great guests and you do an excellent job of steering the interviews to interesting places. Keep at it!
