Interesting retro video. The team at MacAir surely knew they designed a great fighter. However, I'm sure they never dreamed that nearly 50 years later, it would boast a 104-0 air to air combat record. They should be proud of what they accomplished, and hope they're enjoying a nice retirement...

No it's not. The only thing on the f15 today from that time period is the shape of the fuselage. The f15 fleet, just like the 16 (from 70s) and so on, receive continuous upgrades. If it was still on that old tech it wouldn't have the rep it does today

US have had one really sexy fighter, tody it is only Iran who fly them, self upgraded with Iranian made parts, not like in the 1980's and 90's when people who worked on the factory in US made to smugle parts out, and had a good extra income

Yup it's time for a Sirius make over gut it out put some new equipment in it new radar systems maybe give it some it some internal weapons bay of some kind at more rockets bombs missiles on it better paint job lol some thing that I would fly or do to make big changes on it would be add more weapons to it rebuild the engines to fly faster something a fearless pilot would take in to a heavily armed area with s400 or s whatever lol . China wouldn't know what hit them . Lol yeah that kind of make mover

Well if your referring to our alliance to the Japanese then that is really simple. After the end of world war 2 and the surrender of the Japanese due to the dropping of the 2 atoms bombs America begun sending foreign aid over and essentially rewrote the countries constitution into a democratic one. Because of this America and Japan quickly became very strong allies and to this day they are the strongest ally to the united states.

The F-15 is a great fighter plane. BUT. USAF officers should never be used as narrators. Their appearance is ludicrous. Use of meaningless acronyms abounds. Most give the impression of dullards who cannot express themselves in cogent English sentences. Their scripts are nauseating. The sound quality is amateurish. Totally unimpressive. They do no credit to the plane at all. Forget it. Goodbye.

Yeah, better than maybe the earlier su-15 and mig 23, but the eagle always maintained an upper hand against its adversaries.

Has the SU-27 ever shotdown F-15? Let me know when that happens. So far F-15 has aerial victories over 100 to 0.
