My 19-year-old son recently completed the Fighter Aircraft Integrated Avionics course (and garnered the Flight Chief Award) at Sheppard AFB and just this week arrived at Seymour Johnson AFB to work on the F-15Es. He's third generation Air Force (I flew an Accounting and Finance desk for 8 years).

The F-15 was a treat to work on after 6 years of maintaining the F-111A/F. I can't even imagine how much it has evolved. Congratulations to both you and your son, it's great to see the F-15s still in the air.

Whenever I think of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina the first thing that crosses my mind is the Beautiful Boeing F-15E Strike Eagles ( Mudhens ), followed by the United States Air Force Air Combat Command 4th Fighter Wing, their 333rd Fighter Squadron "Lancers", 334th Fighter Squadron "Eagles", 335th Fighter Squadron "Chiefs", 336th Fighter Squadron "Rocketeers", and the thunderous roar and screaming of their twin Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229 Turbofan Engines in Full Afterburner with the Blowers Lit!! I love it!! This is one of the things that makes America Great!! 🇺🇸🦅

Nope, all LGBs like the GBU-12 can only be set on the ground with those dials. The plane knows what the code is set to but you can't change it from the cockpit

I’m farmilure with the drouge and basket and have been able successfully refuel the naval way in dcs the air force version I cannot for the life of Me keep the f16/a10/f15 in alignment with the tanker. She’ll or Texaco. Do air force guys put the autopilot on barametric altitude and just maintain speed and attitude. Anyone know. This is actually some of the best strike eagle footage iv ever seen.

There is a simulation in the works for the 15e. they are trying to decide which Up Front Controller to use. The red LED light terminal. Or the digital screen. I cant seem to find an image of the F15e digital UFC powered on. Any idea where i can look?
