WOW. Awsome video and display, he is probably the best display pilot in a F-16 ever. During my service in the RDAF (for 13 years), I had the opportunity to ride 1:15 hour in the back seat of the amazing F-16. That experience is on par with becoming married and parents probably the biggest, (but don't tell my wife).

Incredible to realize that the first F-16 flew in 1974 and has been in service with the U.S. Air Force for 45 years (since 1978)! And it's still a show-stopper! The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds fly F-16s and could take some lessons from the Belgians! Salute to the Belgian Air Force from a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer. (BTW: Wife and I had a wonderful fall season road trip through Switzerland in 2018). Wonderful video work, too! Thanks. 😍

I don't care what anyone says.... The F-16 still has it...Its agility was cutting edge when introduced over 40 years ago and is still extremely good today when compared to fighters that came after it. It is a benchmark fighter.. And this display clearly shows it...

Belgian Air Component display pilot is Senior Captain Steven "Vrieske" De Vries (Vries = Freeze, "Vrieske" = "Little Freeze"), only F-16 pilot outside the US to have exceeded 5000 hours on type. Our F-16s are to be replaced by the F-35A Lightning II. Contrary to Norway and The Netherlands, there are no plan to provide some of our F-16s to Ukraine, as we don't have that many and our F-35s are not delivered yet, and apparently could be delayed to manufacturing issues, though Belgium should provide training on the F-16s for Ukrainian pilots, it has been said. Belgian F-16s are of the early A/B type upgraded to Bloc 20 standard.

I fully support giving all possible aid to Ukraine -- preferably a year ago -- but I hope they're careful with those F16s. The Russians have MANPADs too, and the Russian air force has barely dared to fly into Ukraine-held territory even with Ukraine having basically no airforce. Maybe they can keep Russian Ka-52 helicopters on the ground. Are they going to be allowed to go and attack Russian air bases???? I wonder why Ukraine isn't being sent unwanted A-10s? Much more suitable for ground attack than the F16.
