I 3D-printed some holders for the monitor and it's controller board to mount behind the Thrustmaster MFDs and also be able mount the whole assembly to the center console.

hard to say, since I don't find the monitors anymore. 5" HDMI monitors are available for about EUR 30-40,- at amazon, afaik. The 3D printed parts cost just the filament you're using...

@simhangar6216
@simhangar6216 4 жыл бұрын
if your monitor has a VGA port, there are DisplayPort2VGA adapters available - this way you can connect your monitor to one of your DP-outputs on the graphics card. Or you could use the DP on your primary monitor and the HDMI output on the card with the HDMI input on the monitor. hope that helps.

@@simhangar6216 Bro ultimately i want to use 2 x 7" inch monitor for Thrustmaster MFD. what problem is rarely i can find this kind of monitor in india which is costly too and its comes with HDMI and VGA ports(thats why i looking for alternate way in economically) .yes i have only one 24" monitor for main view it has 2XHDMI ports and 1 X VGA port. i hope now you can understand .
@simhangar6216
@simhangar6216 4 жыл бұрын
@@venkatraman5170 ok, now I got it. I'd recommend using HDMI of your graphics card and the 24" for the main display, 2 DP with DP2HDMI cable to the 7"monitors hdmi input (once you have them). Did you check amazon for raspberry pi hdmi monitors? here the 5" variants cost about EUR 35,- which is not that bad. Only downside, resolution is just 800x480.

Dude you need to EXPLAIN MORE on making this....the reason we CLICK and watch is we want to know how to make these ourselves, not just to see you assemble it!... Useless video unless you provide proper details etc...

Wow, such a "nice" comment... First of all, nobody made you watching this video! (I actually was quite surprised right now, that there was advertising on it, I didn't activate it). Second, I don't see, how you think you are entitled to get a detailed description on how I made them, the title 100% reads "Assembly" Third, if you would have invested 2 seconds and clicked on "more" on the description, you would have found a link to a post on my website, how I made it. have a nice day

@@simhangar6216 I am not trying to be a jerk, but all your video shows is you assembling a MFD..... I am genuinely wanting to know how to make these etc, like thousands of other sim enthusiasts..... Don't be offended, rather, make another video showing everything step by step on how you made, and assembled this etc. I appreciate your skill etc, so don't think I am trying to be a dink. I want to build my own simpit, and I trawl the internet researching everything to find and learn how to do so, so you can be an awesome teacher for us - we really all have the same common interest mate. I love your work - but just ask if you can show us all the steps in making this. Imagine you were me - I have absolutely no idea how to make a MFD - so be the leader and show me, and loads of other people !!!!!!!!. Big Love Dude xo

Now we're talking :), sorry for the misunderstanding! I didn't build the MFDs by myself, these are the Thrustmaster MFDs: www.thrustmaster.com/products/mfd-cougar-pack I just designed the 3D-printed frame for the complete assembly of the screen, it's driverboards and the MFDs. My process of building/designing is documented on my website/blog: f16simulator.net/wp/en/2019/09/23/compact-mfds/ f16simulator.net/wp/en/2019/10/05/mfds-assembled/ (the written version of this video) Some ages ago I had made some MFDs by myself, but they were really simple, just a wooden frame on an aluminium plate with some buttons in it, connected to a leo bodnar input board, no screens: f16simulator.net/wp/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/PA260001.jpg Switching to the Thrustmaster MDFs helped me free a lot of inputs on the board for other things. My ultimate goal would be to video document every build I'm doing, but due to our family situation I sometimes find just 20-30 minutes to work on something. Setting up a camera, lights, etc. would take too long, so there are quite some things I'm not able to capture due to time limitations. Most of my documentations are build reports on my website (link above), since taking pictures takes quite less time than filming the build... The website has been quite some help for a lot of people during the last 20 years, so I guess, it's not all too bad ;) greetings michi (simhangar)

I just found out about Arduino circuit board and their software to communicate with DCS BIOS. You can try looking at that first. I am also trying to build a simpit for myself too, but it's just too hard without proper equipment tbh
