Phil J so true. I worked on F-15’s C&D models but always had a man crush on the F-16. If I heard correctly they’re going to keep the F-16 in service till 2040. 👍🏼

Pound-for-pound the F-16 is the best plane ever made in modern-day times you give it a little bit of thrust vectoring about 5,000 pounds more thrust a little bit more Wing area and it is the best plane in the military ever made hands down no question

F35 is trash. Okay, it's a polished turd, sorry. All of the air force's budget for attack aircraft should go to f22s, a10s, ac130s, f16s and B1 Lancers. Maybe a few B2s in there for good measure. The F35 could never and should never replace all of these aircraft. It was a financial mistake and there's nothing the average man can do about it but bitch about the price of everything going up. I love venting on the youtubes.

well the f-22 doesn't really have any moves. its a big, bulky, lethargic fighter built after the age of the dogfight. its built entirely to shoot missiles without getting missiles shot back at it. the only reason it even has a gun is to occasionally engage ground targets. the f-16 was the last fighter we built to be capable in a gun fight. you can plainly see the difference in size between them, the smaller fighter has less inertia to shift around. it would run circles around the 22, if it could find and actually get close enough to it. which it cant, and thats the entire point of the 22. granted that because of the two thrust vectoring nozzles, the f-22 does have SOME super-maneuverability at very low, near stall speeds. however the only thing that is useful for is entertaining spectators at a show, those are not viable combat maneuvers. its also very fast having a supersonic cruise and all that jazz, but nimble she ain't.

F22 is almost twice the size of f16. In a dog fight the f16 is so nimble. Im not saying f22 is not. F16 has a chance depending on the pilot. But that is in a dog fight the trend to today is stealth and trying to avoid and pound for pound dog fighting.
