@@CROWZ_joey i agree that 770mph is enough to make a sonic boom and a vapor cone, but that isn't even near 700mph, it's somewhere close to 300-400mph, it's just a wing vapor causing the wing to generate that by turning high AoA and high pitch rate. Also, a sonic boom is a bang-like sound and not just a jet sound flying by. That's why it's called sonic "boom"

That isn't even close to going supersonic, so it isn't "near" supersonic at all, most jets will develop a vapor cone even at near stall speeds, it all depends on the humidity not the speed.

@@charlesowens8724 I'm not talking about his current speed, I am simply stating that you can get vapor off control surfaces at any speed, even very slow speeds, it has nothing to do with mach or near mach, it is simply due to how much the air pressure drops as it hits certain surfaces. The Viper is notorious for this effect coming off the front slats at low speeds when rising the nose.

@@HicSvntDracones right and wrong. Yes you are that almost any speeds vapor can be cause. However not a Vapor Cone. Vapor Cones are usually caused when an aircraft is on the break of going Supersonic (Mach .8 - .95). By Law in USA no aircraft can go Mach 1 (Supersonic) unless in a control space, non population or State of Emergency (usually at higher elevations). F16 Viper can go Mach 2 they not that slow.
