This is not Opus 8! This is a concerto without an opus number. The real Opus 8 has a flute obbligato and is different from the beginning.

There are two extant versions of Carulli’s Concerto, Op. 8 in A major for guitar and orchestra; the first was published in Paris, with an orchestral score for string quartet, two oboes, two horns and obbligato flute. The object of the present edition is the second version, published in Vienna by Haslinger and conceived for a smaller orchestra: two violins, cello, and horns ad libitum. The two editions differ not only in orchestration: it would be correct to state that the only common features between the two are key signature, the indications Allegro and Polonaise, and some of the themes.
