its hard to put it into words, but this piece gives off the feeling of something lost, an emotion or a skill, or a friend long past gone. I listened to this piece when i was feeling low and immediately i was resonating with it. I'm at a point in my life where i have so many opportunities and so much to do, yet i have no idea what to do. i keep having this feeling that i should make something. that i should create music, write a short story or maybe even start a podcast. but when i bring myself to do it, that feeling quickly turns into "what's the point". why do i bother creating this? and i try and answer that question but i always fall short. I'm surrounded by people that have accomplished so much in their life, and who are so much better than me, and I look at them and i ask myself "how am i different?". the answer is, I'm not. i have no special skills. I'm just average in every way and it makes me sad. i want to be better, i need to be better. but I don't know how. and there's no point telling any of this to my friends because, while they are good people, I don't need people telling me "its ok" or "you are special" or shit like that. i just want to become better, and I fear its something that I can only achieve alone. i dunno, just thought i'd vent to the internet while listening to this amazing piece.
@chrisacres3 жыл бұрын
You don’t ‘need’ to be better than anyone. Find contentment in what you have. No one else has it. Don’t feel pushed by society to ‘do something’. Do things that make you happy and only because YOU want to do them. Live the life you want to live not the life you feel you should be living based on what your friends and peers are doing. Be happy man.

I remember listening to this as a little kid. It gave me a strange feeling of sadness and happiness at once. I didn't know what it was. Now I know that I was sad because my parents were about to split up, but my childly consciousness wasn't able to really comprehend the situation. Now I live in another country with my mom and younger brother. I only get to see my father in video calls, my brother and I can only travel to him rarely. I've never really talked to someone about it. My father and me both know that we've been missing out on the chance of participating in one another's life. But here I am, trying to be the best version of myself. I'm like this piece of music is to me, sad and happy at the same time...

Guitaris can play piano's skill but not pianist cant play guitar cz guitar have a angel finger
@lorcanmcgrane83799 ай бұрын
@@ronnibagioI mean yea of course guitarists can probably play basic piano pieces but when you get to the technically advanced pieces they just wouldn’t be able to unless they’ve put in the thousands of hours of practise. The same goes for the guitar of course, but you can’t make a comparison that pieces are easier to learn on the piano because it all comes down to the piece. There are many pieces that are easier to play on the piano and then many which are much harder. And in my opinion, which may be wrong, the hardest pieces on the piano are significantly more difficult then the most difficult on the guitar. If you look at some of Liszt’s pieces they are inhuman and no matter how much you practise the majority of people will never be able to play them.

Memorizing is the easy part. We don't play this stuff 24/7 because we are _mildly_ interested in it. Once you have it performance ready, it's pretty much like listening to the perfect interpretation of your favorite songs because there's no point where you wish the performer interpreted something a specific way you want to hear it. Like that cadenza he threw in there. I play Chopin for that very reason sometimes.

This feels so different from the original. But, in a great way. Thank you so much for letting us hear this wonderful performance. For me the original feels wistful but tragic or bittersweet. I listen to it often. For me this rendition feels more like a conversation, it's nostalgic, like I'm outside in the romantic countryside somewhere, at a small but long standing café or restaurant, sitting at a table by the open window or maybe outside. The sun is setting, the sky is ablaze in color and as the song plays just within my hearing I softly talk with my partner, my beloved, and we hush midway, to simply listen and share the moment. Ah. What a lovely dream.

The warmth of your tone, Novak, is the most beautiful I have long heard, it's like Segovia luring different colors from the instrument. Tarrega's arrangements are often really cool, really fantasticly to the point - and in this piece I wouldn't have thought it possible, but Tarrega "nailed it", adding fiorituri suited for the guitar, much to the fullfilment of Chopin's intentions. Still, I love the piece on piano as well, if it is a good instrument (with the same ability to color the tones - not all pianos can do that, you need una corde and soft hammers).
