Yes, agreed. This sets a new standard for playing the modern Boehm system flute. I especially admire how you manage to span the timbre? - well - the sound of the flute - down to the low c# (assuming that the Fantasy ends in this tonality), Denis. The way that the two instruments seek and find each other inside the c# tonality towards the end, playing the sad, slow concluding melody at the very end - that must be really, really difficult to do. I again ran the Russian remarks through google translate - this time its a concern that young people might be led to believe, that this is a genuine Chopin instrumentation, and that rather they should know that the piano is better suited for performing this piece. Which is probably true. I think Denis Bouriakov and the people around him now seek to fulfill the public demand for "the truly outstanding artistry". There will alway be an audience for that. Chopin lovers whereever they might be have a point that this whole thing is somehow using Chopins truly outstanding artistry for their own purposes - but we all have a choice to seek musical inspiration where we prefer it. For obvious reasons, flutists will cherish this performance, plus all the other stuff that flows in Denis Bouriakovs youtube channel these days.Are there already videos out where you explain how you achieced all this, Denis?

Великие пианисты ИСПОЛНЯЮТ намного более совершенно. Особенно волнует что молодые люди могут подумать что это истинный Шопен. My low bow to skills! Really impressive technical aspect. Nevertheless, I believe that such works should be performed in the original. Great pianists EXECUTE much more perfectly. На фортепиано его исполняют пианисты, а флейтисты как его будут исполнять на фортепиано? А сыграть то хочется. Я вот, пытался сыграть на фортепиано, так тяжело. А вот на флейте есть больше шанса его исполнить для меня :) Я думаю произведение настолько известное, что все знают что оно для фортепиано, к тому же Шопен в основном сочинял для фортепиано, для флейты не сочинял, тем более такие виртуозные произведения. Флейтистов в основном слушают только флейтисты и любители флейты :)

Yet, I prefer to take double/triple consideration when it comes to TRANSCRIPTIONS. Not everything is suitable for other than original instrument. Here we talking about respect to COMPOSER !!!

Это зависит от положении отверстия губы к отверстию флейту. Видимо в таком положении выдыхаемая струя наиболее точно попадает во флейту, это слышно по очень качественному звуку Дениса Бурякова. Насколько я слышал что отверстие в его губах смещена, из-за ему приходится держать флейту под наклоном чтобы воздух точно попадал. Так что правильная постановка индивидуальна для каждого.

While the prowess is all too obvious, there is a reason why some pieces are just played in the instrument they were written for, this sounds unpleasant on the flute, all those sudden breaks and as if the video ran on a faster speed.
