This amazing piece from 1717 is a typical example of a harpsichord composer writing in a way in which a lute player would have been playing.
It was called ’style brisé’ (broken style).
A kind of baroque fingerpicking.
I’m sure that Chet Atkins would have played this piece beautifully 🎵
