F.Grafe: Grand concerto for trombone

Some 50 years ago, when I was in High School, and had just begun on the trombone, my piano teacher suggested I play this with another of his piano students at a recital. I was a beginner and simply could not hit the high notes. More recently, I started practicing the trombone again, and with the aid of the artists who were charitable enough to share their knowledge of the instrument on KZbin, although still very much a "beginner", I have been able to achieve a mastery of the instrument unimaginable to me back then. I located my old copy of the Grafe Grand Concerto and began to tackle it again, from my new perspective. I convey this long tale in order to acknowledge the mastery and proficiency this trombonist displayed in this recording. I hope this recital earned him his degree, that he is continuing with the instrument, and that he is still gracing audiences with his artistry today. Congratulations!
