佛光大佛 Fo Guang Big Buddha

佛館中軸線的最高處，端坐著一尊金色的釋迦牟尼佛，相貌圓潤飽滿，不分晨昏，莊嚴地垂視眾生。
佛光大佛的地基加佛身高達108米、約36層樓高，是亞洲最高的銅鑄坐佛，重達1800多公噸。
星雲大師為了讓世人認識自己的如來佛性，建造了這尊佛光大佛。他希望世人在看到大佛的莊嚴偉大時，也看到自己的莊嚴跟本性，進而開發自我、領悟到「我是佛」的概念。
Fo Guang Big Buddha
Sitting on the highest point of the central axis is Sakyamuni Buddha, who gazes upon all sentient beings regardless of day and night.
The Fo Guang Big Buddha weighs 1,800 tons and measures 108 m in height, equivalent to a 36-story building. It is currently the tallest cop-per-cast seated Buddha statue in Asia.
Venerable Master Hsing Yun made the Fo Guang Big Buddha statue in the hope that people would discover their innate potentials and learn that they are Buddhas themselves.
