Good first reaction. As a collaboration it works well with all 3 artists getting their moments while blending and complementing each other. F Hero is the rapper, he is from Thailand - this is his song. Featured artists Bodyslam are also from Thailand. They are apparently Thailand's biggest rock band, I have read that most of their own work is softer than this. BABYMETAL was the 3 ladies (Su-metal lead vocalist, Moametal and Momometal, backing vocals, harmonies and in charge of the choreo) and, as you thought, they are from Japan. Everything they touch turns to gold - they are so good - and yes they do metal, but not the shouty screamo metal you might think ... and they have bespoke choreo for every song. BABYMETAL started over 13 years ago in 2010 when the girls were aged 12 and 11 and they created their very own new metal sub-genre (the name BABYMETAL means the birth of a new kind of metal). They started off fusing metal with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics, but they will blend and mix so many more different musical styles and genres with the metal. For a BABYMETAL song I think you will appreciate a lot look for 'Monochrome' live at PIA Arena.

The song is the big guy's and he is a Thai rapper F. HERO. Bodyslam is a Thai heavy metal band. Of course the fantastic ladies are Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. Lead Singer Suzuka/Su-Metal and scream and dance accompaniment is Moa/Moametal and Momoko/Momometal. They have been around since 2010 and are creators of Kawaii Metal (cute metal). The sale out all over the World. Their songs a positive and empowering. Yui/Yuimetal is an original member that left in 2018 and Momometal took the third spot permanently in April of 2023. Baby Metal is the top metal group there is right now and have been doing it since 2011. Sure, they are japanese. F. Hero and Bodyslam are huge Stars in Thailand. Babymetal is the International most successful japanese Band. They are active since 14 years and there concerts are huge. In the USA and Europe they gave their small concerts 4 to 6000 guests per concert. In Japan They fill venues for 55.000 people. If Festivals can get them they gave to pay at least 250 000 Euro if they want them as a showrunner plus hotelrooms and meals. Zhey were idols when they started. In this case they are the Stars since they are known worldwide.

I just watched an excellent Thai band play a 4 1/2 hr. Molam concert complete with Vegas dancers for $5 in a small country fairground. Although it was a glitter overload for me the costumes, showmanship and execution of the singers, dancers and musicians was 1st class. High quality musicians from around the world are finally getting recognition thanks to reviewers like you taking the time to get out of their comfort zone.

Haven't seen Babymetal called idols in a long time, other than the joke I sometimes make about 'idol worship', but you can use the word idols because it is part of their past. Reality is maybe stranger than fiction, because Babymetal was created by a producer who used to work with bands, but because their were so few bands in the charts (it was lots of J-pop idol groups, they had figured out how to game the system), he was asked to work at the kids division. He noticed a talented singer and thought: I need to work with her, she has an oddly loud style of singing, maybe I can combine it with the loud metal music he loves. The management thought it was a stupid idea, he even was unsure about it himself. But eventually he found a form he was allowed to try it in with a financial investment by the company, they didn't want to put money into it... and through hard work and talent of everyone involved they made it work !
