Mitfahrt von Holzkirchen nach Lenggries mit einem Schneepflug.
Die Fahrt fand geschoben statt, deswegen die niedrige Geschwindigkeit von 50 km/h.
Das Brummen im ganzen Film kam vom Dieselmotor im Pflug, der für die Hydrauliksteuerung, Stromversorgung und Heizung zuständig ist.
Leider ist der Schneepflug nicht gerade gut Gefedert, deswegen ist der Film ab und zu etwas Verwackelt.
Ich hoffe das Video gefällt trotz allem der Fangemeinde.

A trick: watch movies at Flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.

in the early seventies I rode the Schienenbus on this stretch. It was incredibly slow and it still looks very slow today.

+John Falkenstine On this video we do not see a "normal" train ride, but a ride on a snowplough which has a very limited maximum speed (50 km/h or 31 mph). Scheduled trains are actually a little bit faster there (100 km/h or 62 mph).

The route from Munich to Lenggries via Holzkirchen and Bad Tölz is operated by the Bayerisches Oberlandbahn (Bavarian Highland Railway). This is owned by the large transportation company Veolia. They also operate the local rail service east of Munich via Rosenheim under the name Meridian. We saw one of those trains parked at Holzkirchen at the beginning of the trip. Both are HQ'd in Holzkirchen. The red trains with all the white doors at Holzkirchen are Munich S-Bahn trains operated by the Deutsche Bahn. Veolia is the largest "private" train operator in Germany. I say "private" because with recent mergers and stock swaps, it's majority owned by the "Caisse de Depot", the investment arm of the French Government. Veolia operates transportation services in numerous other countries too, including the US, where they own Laidlaw, the largest private school bus company in the US, as well as operating numerous municipal bus services. Here in the Phoenix area, they operate most of the bus lines and the Phoenix Light Rail service.

AML2000 Does that mean drivers of Meridian also drive BOB trains, and vice versa?

Wakajce Since I'm not in Germany I couldn't say. The BOB operates diesel trains, and Meridian uses electric trains, which is one big difference.

AML2000 To drive, arguably so. But in Germany most drivers of DB would learn how to drive several trains; both electric and diesel. I have a friend in Augsburg who learns to drive the BR 440 (EMU) and BR 642 (DMU) during his apprenticeship. Seeing as BOB and Meridian are from same company and in the same area, it wouldn't seem odd if their drivers drove each other. But I looked up the company's websites, and it seems to me that it is unlikely. I thought of it because the uploader of this video posted both BOB and Meridian routes, and you brought up the fact that they are part of the same company. But oh well :P

Wakajce To make thing even more confusing, Veolia changed its name to Transdev last month. Anyway, the OP worked for DB when he posted the routes now run by Meridian. They didn't take over those routes until December 2013.

Nach meiner Erkenntnis müsste die Unglücksstelle in Nähe des BÜ's (Minute 12:30) - so etwa - gewesen sein.

Laut Wikipedia ereignete sich am 08.06.1975 auf der Strecke bei Kilometer 44,312. d.h. kurz vor dem Bahnübergang bei ca. min 12.30, ein Frontalzusammenstoß zweier Züge, der Eisenbahnunfall von Warngau. Laut Fahrplan kreuzten sich die beiden Züge damals zwischen Schaftlach und Warngau auf freier Strecke und eigentlich sollten die beteiligten Fahrdienstleiter jeweils im Einzelfall entscheiden, ob die Zugkreuzung in Schaftlach oder in Warngau stattfindet. Am 08.06.1975 kam es zwischen ihnen aber zu einem Missverständnis. Da es dort zu jener Zeit überhaupt keine technische Sicherung, also keinen Streckenblock, gab, konnten die beiden Züge in den eingleisigen Abschnitt einfahren. Das Unglück forderte 41 Tote und 122 Verletzte. Nach der Zahl der Todesopfer war das in der Zeit seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg das viertschwerste Zugunglück auf westdeutschem Gebiet.
