Penang Laksa is an acquired taste. Not all Malaysians, especially from the southern taste, like them due to the strong smell and taste. They are used to the coconut milk based type.

i would call the coconut milk based type as curry mee rather than laksa

I am from Singapore and I like both types of Laksa.

Asam laksa
Shouldn’t it be purely a taste test of how good the food is and not judged by the price of food and service? 🧐

Ya the price comparison apart from the taste is such a turn off

He's such a hypocrite. He had such an unpleasant look on his face when he tasted Penang laksa and he still gave it a 4 stars but when it came to Singapore laksa which he gave a lot of praises, he only gave it a 3.5 stars. What a trash

I feel like the toast and bkt will score higher than msia, based on his response 😂 it shouldn’t really include price as it’s well known that SG is a lot pricier
Original katong laksa is the jangkut laksa. Can be found in Queensway shopping centre. The original cook was an old man who has died and the stall at Queensway shopping belongs to the niece of the old man.
"Chew, a Johorean, came to Sabah on May 21, 1981 where he first worked at a chicken rice shop. On September 9, 1984, he started selling laksa which was originally a Sarawakian recipe enhanced with his own mixture of additional spices and ingredients."--18 Mar 2021 MalayMail 怡豐laksa 本來就是砂朥越laksa, 想吃更正宗的砂朥越laksa還是要去砂朥越。
