@@colepan7626 It's a new virus which was still under investigation when Li Wen Liang posted on his WeChat group. At that point of time, everyone thought the virus is SARS because that's the closest virus they can find from their database, but it was proven incorrect after the investigation was done, it's a new virus which the characteristics were still unknown & need further research, this is proven today when research shows many characteristics of covid-19 is different from SARS. If China straightaway announce to public without investigation, it would be wrongly announced as SARS, citizens will fled from Wuhan to other cities and make the spread of virus faster, just like what happened in Italy & USA. I don't like CCP either but they have acted correctly in this case, just that CCP reputation has always been bad & people conveniently use this stereotype to blame them.
Shame on the host trying to jump to the conclusion that the virus originated from China. I am not saying the virus didn't originate from China. But perhaps you could keep your personal opinion to yourself before pressing the ambassador to public say that he accepts that notion. Where did the virus originate is a question that needs to be answered with solid evidence and scientific analysis instead of misjudgement or finger-pointing.

This is not a interview and is like a trial in a court. The reporter never gave the ambassador a chance to give a complete answer and then interrupted him with another question. All questions in the interview are well prepared but the ambassador has to answer it without preparation and so he need time to answer it slowly and carefully. But every time when the ambassador just started to express the key point of answer the reporter interrupted him by repeating the question or changed to another question. This is not a interview to let people know what happened in China but just to find another way insulting China.
