Would use Isopropanol. But at least WD-40 is non-conductive.

Dissolves the thermal paste quicker than with ISO, I would probably stick to alcohol though tbh

Specialist contact cleaner. Not your average WD-40. It's made for sensitive electronics.

It's specialist contact cleaner. Not your average WD-40. I use this a lot (with a mask) working with computer components at a recycler. Stuff is made specifically for electronics. Washes away thermal paste like nothing.
