I still remember a really funny quote regarding labor rights in China. "什麼意思? 一個號稱工人階級領導的國度竟然不引許罷工?" I think what was impressive about the UAW strike was the president himself joining the ranks. I mean, can you even imagine Xi joining a strike in the ranks? He couldn't even PRETEND to like soccer/football. He pretended to be into it once and that was it.
In fact, it was only after taking a green-skin train some time ago that I realized the living standards of some people are still at this level. Anyone with a heart would feel anger upon seeing this. If more people could understand the extent of the issue, and even further, understand the reasons behind it, I am convinced that there would be no shortage of passionate young people willing to stand up and take action.
