I incidentally stumbled into your vlogging! I'm Thai born but been living in the UK 49 years and just to say how lovely to hear you both speaking Thai and I agreed with your comments. Appreciate your love of my birth country 🙏 Incredibly interesting vlogging, thank you 🙏
For the reason that Khun Daniel respects Thai people by trying to use Thai language. Therefore, I will use English to comment on this clip. I would like to thank both of you for loving Thailand and doing many things that are beneficial for Thailand. Love both of you.
Actually, in our Thai culture, we all are “One Big Family.” We, Thais, don’t need to really know each other to be a family and connected as “a Nation.” That’s why everyone feels like we are related somehow as a family. Therefore, you always hear how we call one another with the bonding family terms, for example: ลูก(kid, son, daughter), พี่ (older sis, older bro), น้อง ( younger sis, younger bro), ลุง (uncle), ป้า (auntie), ตา (maternity grandpa), ยาย (maternity grandma), ปู่ (paternity grandpa), ย่า ( paternity grandma), etc. And the kindness and respect we have for the people around us (regardless of a person’s ethnic or nationality) is so real and sincere- no pretending! I will give all the credit to our dominant religion- Buddhism- for teaching us to love and to be kind and be respectful to everyone around us. We are the way we are just because it’s how the Lord Buddha has taught us to practice our regular basic 5 precepts (ศีล 5 ) including the Middle path (มรรค 8 หรือทางสายกลาง). We live a more conscientious life.
This way the foreigner can speak Thai very fast because they are try to speak with Thai people so, in the same way, Thai people should speak English with foreigner that it make Thai people can improve to speak English will better. 🥰
