I think this is either horribly out of context or horribly phrased. You never "run out" of the capacity to love which God gave you. Those words aren't good caution at all, they're just a risk of despair for those with a bad past. "a person is rendered useless" only so long as they will to be of their own volition. I again have to believe it's either terrible phrasing or lack of context but the video sounds ridiculous and callous. The Scriptures say "whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away" but as for the heart God gave us and its faculties, there is no absurd limit of its use due to tragic misuse. It clearly says "Love never fails." (1 Corinthians 13:8) Its font does not run dry. It does not fail. Love does not run out. There is always hope, and we pray so often, "Create in me a clean heart, O God..." (Psalm 50/51:10) why? Because no matter the marred visage of your heart and its various scars, God can create in you a clean heart. The possibility, the power to love which God has granted you has no ultimate end if you carry/adopt a right disposition of repentance/humility. You take contrition to that broken heart, and "a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." (Psalm 50/51:17)
