1:37 actually, it does not mean at least one "is useful"; it means at least one is not useless. big diff.

how do you find each standard error manually?
@abdulrahmanabunabhan49192 жыл бұрын
very helpful video . is there a formula for calculating the standard error (SE) for the coefficient that we are performing the t test on? or will it usually be given to us?
@catherinecase11422 жыл бұрын
There are formulas, and they can be useful for understanding the various factors that affect standard error, but I wouldn’t try to do the calculations by hand. You’re already using software to find the slope, standard deviation of the residuals, etc. so you might as well take advantage of software in calculating the standard error of the coefficient too. (Of course, if this is for a statistics class, you should ask your teacher!)

for the t test do we reject the null if it is significant
@catherinecase11423 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s like other hypothesis tests in that way. Saying that a result is “significant” means we have strong evidence to reject the null.
