i don't even count them as the same character since the anime and GBA games are a separate universe from the main games (they also did dirty a bunch of characters i like)

I thought this game had the same feel as GP Legend. Man, was I so wrong. On top of that, I didn't know you could actually use both boost charges for a crazy speed boost (might not be recomended for some tracks though).
