I sure remember getting this game (F-Zero GX) for Easter back in 2003/2004. The game had very good graphics that were well ahead of the time & I as well remember remember how hard it really was. This game had an awesome soundtrack & this game was very futuristic. I really can't to see the next couple of decades. I have to admit that I used to love this game, back then as well.

Too bad Shiggy and Nintendo don't want to make any more of these games. They could at least let a 2nd/ 3rd party dev have a go at it seeing as they themselves aren't confident that they are capable of making another worthy entry into the series.

I liked this game alot especially since all the AI's were pre determined on what place they'll be and it was slightly different for each characters on every cup but Leon and Pico were always on the bottom lol
@TheFreeFlow6 жыл бұрын
Not just his AI first and foremost his machine sucks hard... Pretty much the worst machine of all in my oppinion, you really notice that leon is supposed to come from a very poor planet, hence his machine is total garbage too. @Jordan No they are not pre-determined at all, they are completely random in fact. Sure some AI´s and machines tend to be better then others, the outcome however is completely random.

The last curve is actually a small hill. If you boost too fast you will lose traction and be flung off the track, just like that unfortunate racer. Using Black Bull and taking the right route with the boost plates in Casino Palace [Split Oval] will easily result in Black Bull flying off the track due to its high top speed.

@mime37615 жыл бұрын
One thing I've been wondering for ages now: why is EVERY SINGLE GX video in here being played with external. view? Game's just so, so much duller that way. That's not even real GX if you ask me. I especially noticed this here watching Cosmo Terminal Trident. You play CST with external view, you always can see clearly when you're heading off track. No thrill whatsover. CST with internal view on the other hand, you can never be sure and that makes for a far tenser race. Boosting on a turn during 2nd / 3rd lap is a way riskier gamble. Not sure why does everyone insist on playing that way. You won't be able to snake or pull that kind of tricks, sure, but internal view is just so many tiers above in terms of sheer experience.

Thanks for uploading this! I have this game on Gamecube but without HDMI it does not look nearly as good as this does. Are you running this on PC via an emulator? If so, what are your PC specs? Do you need a beefy PC? I don't remember this being wide screen either, looks so awesome in 16:9!
@TheFreeFlow6 жыл бұрын
You call this good? O.o Notice the obvious pixelation... Looks like some really bad quality to me. Yeah this is most likely run on an emulator, probably dolphin at native settings judging by the bad quality. Anyway yes you will need a beefy PC, well not that much for native settings, but you still need some power, since GX tends to be a pretty demanding game. First and foremost the power of your CPU is most important, your graphics card not that much. Yes, normally the graphics card is more important, however, in case of emulation it´s different and the CPU is the main performance giver in emulation. To even run it at native settings without lag you will need at least 768mb of graphics card and something like a phenom at at least 2x 3ghz. Note that the gamecube emulator can only use up to 2 cores of your CPU, actually only 1 core and the other is used for backup only giving a slight performance boost... So that one core will need to be somewhat strong. If you want to actually run it at flawless quality expect much more performance needed. And yeah you can not only increase the quality over an emulator but also put in widescreen. 1 of the many reasons PC master race rulez once again : P
@mahaan8902 жыл бұрын
The game has a native widescreen setting in the screen options.

@@TheFreeFlow Well I guess I was comparing it to my memory of this running on analog TV but yeah it does get much better than this on emulator at higher resolution that is for sure! Thanks for explaining everything in great detail, I appreciate this and I will keep this in mind. That's good to know about the CPU and GPU needs for emulating this game (and others). Oh yeah, I notice that widescreen can be added to old games and makes them look so much nicer 👍 I totally agree PC's are amazing in what they can do with emulators and so much more! I know there is advantages to consoles (and even Apple computers in some rare instances) but nothing matches having a PC that pretty much does everything imo. Even Xbox and PS3 and Switch can be emulated quite well nowadays and just keeps getting better. Sorry I didn't reply, someone left a message yesterday and then I saw yours too so thought at least I should reply!

yeah it has its own calibration options in the controller settings. the default max input is about half of the stick's actual range. give it a few good, firm rotations and your stick should be less sensitive
