F-ZERO GX: Mute City - Sonic Oval - 0'11"245 【TAS】

WOOH! This took way too long to create! This TAS consists of about 115 hours of work with approximately 60000 re-records. I think it's safe to say that this TAS is by far the greatest and most tedious TAS I have ever created. I'm filled with a feeling of euphoria by the end result, and I hope you find this enjoyable to watch!

TASes are created with an emulator that supports specific tools, such as frame-by-frame speed, save states, and other additions that allows you to optimize the play as much as possible. Obviously, these aren't meant to be compared to real-time records, but it's rather a demonstration of what a game looks like when it's pushed close to its limits.

Unreal TAS! That was way too crazy :o Speaking of crazy, that's a massive amount of time spent on such a short TAS. I'm not sure if I'd be patient enough to go through something like that. In that sense, I'm kinda glad I chose F-Zero X as my game to TAS :P At the same time, it's a bit of a shame that few people are TASing GX since GX TAS runs are really entertaining and this game has a lot of potential :D Awesome work :)

+ItsYogSothoth Console verified means that the TAS (as a replay file) was able to be imported to the Nintendo Wii, and was able to be loaded through F-Zero GX's Replay menu (Nintendo Wii using its backwards compatability). For reference, players are able to transfer their own Non-Tas personal best Replays to other wii's through Homebrew and play those replays without having to ship memory cards. Same concept here, except the replay was generate from the Gamecube Emulator "Dolphin"

+Ian Suhay That's a TAS-exclusive tech called "Shaking", which is essentially frame-perfect Snaking alternation. Watch the beginning in reduced playback speed, and it should look more apparent.
