All the developers that worked on the F Zero series are either completely or effectively defunct. Nintendo has expressed no interest in making another F Zero game despite having Captain Falcon feature prominently in several things and putting an F Zero track in Mario Kart 8. Fast Racing Neo turned out to be mediocre. We need a new F Zero. Why is the world ignoring this opportunity. Instead we get annual installments of Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed.

And quite a few cheap knock-offs, I imagine. :D Look, for example, at Project M and Smash 4. Nintendo doesn't supply, and they FORCE other people to NOT supply because it competes with the stuff they supply. Would that they weren't insulated from market forces...

+esme553 Most Western developers seem to keep playing it safe. What I gather seems to be this: Most installments of games that seem to sell are seen as safer over here. For some reason, they don't want to take any risks by trying something drastically different from what they know. If the old developers who worked on F-ZERO is truly gone, shouldn't we have new up and coming stars take over?
