Few tips. For chapter 2 1. Max out speed 2. Avoid rocks and avoid using boost 3. Notice how Goro slows down around the rocks each time you drive by them. 4. You will catch up to him before 3/4 of the map and once you get closer to the end use your boosts while dodging the remaining rocks. He will still slow down because he's trying to avoid them. 6. When boosting properly you can go above your top speed which is about 1,100 right after you hit the boost button time yourself and let go of the acceleration button then tap it after your boost is done being used. Once you hit that first over the top speed which is usually around 1,200 - 1,300 repeat until you are at the finish line or till you are out of juice.

Chapter 7 is the hardest in my opinion. Took me so long to beat back in the day. And I always wished there was a 6th cup for Grand Prix which consists of the chapter 1,3,7,8,9 tracks

I was never able to beat Chapter 7 when I got the game initially, and I finally beat it for the first time due to both Blood Falcon and Black Shadow driving off the track

I got the tip from my friend that also got trouble with this chapter. Just try to kick Blood Falcon and Black Shadow off the track and it's more easy to finish. So I tried, and achieved.

@ElectTheMusic That would be the tits if they released it on switch. I don’t know why they just don’t do it. The game sold 1.5 million copies, and while that is impressive for a racing game, ( that’s NOT Mario kart ) especially one that came out in 2003, it makes it harder to find as the years go on. And if you can find a copy, it’s usually pretty pricey. It’s not uncommon to see it go for $100 or more on eBay and Amazon. Don’t get me wrong, the original F-Zero is still a great game, but they don’t need to keep re-releasing it on every new system. I believe they made it available on pretty much every new system they ever made. It like, come on, give the other games some love. For a lot of people, the only way they can play it, is by emulation. And we all know how Nintendo feels about emulation. They’ve even sued people for it. It’s like, ‘well, if you would just port it to a new system, people wouldn’t have to emulate it just to play it.’ I still the disc so I can still play it on my Wii, but things don’t last forever, and sooner or later, my Wii is going to give out, just like everything else. Just another reason why playing the game is getting harder to do. Porting it to switch would literally fix ALL of that. Plus Nintendo like money, and I bet that people would buy the shot out of this game. I know I would.

On Deathborn's race I played it on Very Hard and he had a HUGE lead over me until the CPU killed itself lmao I raced alone and won and unlocked the Dark Schneider and became my fav machine

I have this game too, and I'm proud to report I beat all nine missions on very hard like this guy. Of course, it was so hard it made me scream; it took me two whole years to do it. I wish Nintendo would make a new F-zero game, with an easier difficulty. Come on Nintendo, just one more F-zero game?! PLLEEEAAAASSSEEEE?!?

I kinda just got lucky with how I played the game. I didn’t realize you had to pay and unlock the next mission after you beat the first so I just played CF trains on hard with only an hour or so of experience with the game but then I beat the story then didn’t touch the story again for days and I just did a bunch of grand prixs then I was really good and very hard was a bit of a breeze. But save Jody...that shit haunts me

Nice to see this without speed run techniques. I hope I can beat Story mode by combining your strategy and some speed run techniques... At least quick turn, maybe MT or Mt boosting, MTS could be beneficial... But all this doesn't help to keep the blue falcon stable at high speed and achieve a clear steering of the machine 😅 especially in chapter 8

What's the deal with the other attack from 4:29-4:55?... I try doing that when I get really close to other drivers & it doesn't work for me, so, that's why I mostly use the spin attack & hope to either send somebody flying, or, I actually end up taking them out.

Currently playing through this game for the first time...at the moment, I've cleared all of the cups on Master, and completed most story mode missions on Very Hard (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9). I've cleared mission 8 on Hard, but not Very Hard. I haven't cleared 7 on Hard.

Idk man, you have to be sooo precise on all of these missions just to barely beat them. Normally it wouldn’t piss me off, but since it’s required to beat the very hard missions to unlock the secret racers, it drives me insane

Idk if this’ll help anyone on ch 4 on hard or very hard but when some of the racers in front of you fall back they try to box you in. The racers that are already around you will do that as well. You can speed up and spin attack into the group or steer to the opposite side of where you're at, boost, and then spin attack into the group. If im not using the side attack, thats what i try to do in order to do as much damage as possible. Fat Shark is worth it!!!

Chapter 7 requires A.I. Manipulation as we all found out much later. Placing consistently 1st too early makes it impossible to win.

Chapter One on Very Hard is the hardest thing in the game for me. The one where collecting all the shiny things. I beat everything in this game except maybe some ghost racers if there were such. I unlocked everything, I think even the parts for ship customization. So I never got the last ship which I wanted so badly and still want to this day, the ship which has flapping and extending wings, Rainbow Phoenix. But that chapter was way to hard for me and woulda taken loads of practice. Not suited good for me. A weak spot.

It may be completable in under 20 minutes, but the amount of practice and skill it takes to do it takes ages. Every chapter past the first will likely take you dozens of attempts even on the easiest difficulty.

7:30 it looks harder than Normal. Normal forgives you up to 700km, which bomb doesn't elapt with moderate accident. however Hard 800km regulation never forgive your any miss.

I set Dolphin's internal resolution to "auto" (outdated option) and went into fullscreen with a resolution of 1920x1080. Fraps was the program I used to record this. I think I encoded it with Movie Maker XP, although I currently only use VirtualDub.

I don't know of any options to make the game run faster. I do get a little slowdown on Sand Ocean with all 30 racers in single player mode, but Story Mode was no problem. I would say it mainly just comes down to your CPU and graphics card.

Selecting Direct 3D and DirectX12 in the video options fixed the extreme choppiness for me (on a 1660ti). Experiment with the options.

I decided to pick the game up and try to beat everything on very hard..... Chapter 7 can go freaking die...... I think I've had over 500 attempts on it and still can't beat it, it just seems like no matter what I do, no matter how perfectly I perfect my techniques and strategy, I lose because of some random bullshit that happens (car knocks me off, my machine ends up sliding for no reason) And idk how the hell I'm suppose to beat it, it feels next to impossible.....
