i mean with all the Hardware limitations they really had to get creative to get some games running. Now a day you really feel that most games are just shat out in to the market to make a quick profit. Im not saying all 80-90s games where great. In my opinion, the creative era of games ended around when the DS released, It may be only me but after that most non-indie games felt a little too samey. But yes, 90's were Golden if we speak about creativity
@commscan3142 жыл бұрын
@@schizophrenic_rambler It's because the games in the 1990s evolved with their limitations, and the choice between making a game on Genesis or Super Nintendo wasn't console market share or gambling on which would be more popular, it was the strengths and weaknesses of their hardware. Want a graphics and sound intensive game? Super Nintendo. Want an extremely complex game that needs a lot of CPU usage? Genesis. Multi-platform games were a lot rarer, simply because a lot of the time developers needed something that wasn't on one but was on the other.

Remember when we were all floored when a game console achieved the ability to scale, rotate, flatten, and perspective correct a bitmap pixel image? The jump from 8-bit 3-color 8x8 or 16x16 sprites to full real-time bitmap transformation on 16-bit hardware was a revolution. Gaining the ability to perform Ray-Tracing Lighting looks rather pedestrian by comparison.
@commscan3142 жыл бұрын
It's because ray tracing doesn't affect the ways you can play a game, it only really changes how the game looks. The ability of the N64, PlayStation, and Saturn to run 3D engines with full polygons changed the way their games were played compared to the SNES and Genesis, while ray tracing just makes shadows look better.

Yes, you're the only one that tears up when YOU hear this song. How on earth is anyone else supposed to know that YOU're hearing the song so that THEY can tear up at that moment? You probably mean to ask whether you're the only one who tears up "upon hearing this song."

Yeah, I wish they would port F0 climax, and then make a new one for the switch. I would pre-ordered some without hesitation, I own physical copies of all of the previous games.

You all know why we’re here. I would also rather have a new F-Zero Game, but at least F-Zero 99 is fun

At least it's something, Nintendo is experimenting with F-Zero. Hopefully it doesn't get trashed again.

I used to play this game all the time as a little kid. In my mid 30’s now and I’m still obsessed with speed, but I just do it in real life. 😂

I honestly only ever enjoyed the SNES F-Zero. So, F-Zero 99 is excellent.

F Zero 99 uses 11khz audio samples whilst the original game uses 32khz audio samples. Listening to the original after hearing F-Zero 99 is like muffling your ears and then taking your hands off the ears
