Best gaming console ever, no doubt. The graphics were improved but they still focused on gameplay. The games weren't too complicated and it was on the last systems with cartridges. I mean they put so much money, energy, workforce into games these days. But the games of the late 80s and early 90s were just iconic. So much love was put into them. Even the scores. It was just a unique era of video game design!
@LaCazaLP
@LaCazaLP 2 жыл бұрын
i mean with all the Hardware limitations they really had to get creative to get some games running. Now a day you really feel that most games are just shat out in to the market to make a quick profit. Im not saying all 80-90s games where great. I just wanna drive home the point that the good games from that era have a Legendary Status for a reason.
@schizophrenic_rambler

In my opinion, the creative era of games ended around when the DS released, It may be only me but after that most non-indie games felt a little too samey. But yes, 90's were Golden if we speak about creativity
@commscan314
@commscan314 2 жыл бұрын
@@schizophrenic_rambler It's because the games in the 1990s evolved with their limitations, and the choice between making a game on Genesis or Super Nintendo wasn't console market share or gambling on which would be more popular, it was the strengths and weaknesses of their hardware. Want a graphics and sound intensive game? Super Nintendo. Want an extremely complex game that needs a lot of CPU usage? Genesis. Multi-platform games were a lot rarer, simply because a lot of the time developers needed something that wasn't on one but was on the other.

Reminds me of my childhood. Those days when you got a new cartridge and could not wait to get home from school to play a single game. The magics gone these days, everything had to be fun and playable, and the creativity was off the scale with awesome soundtracks. I miss it ❤

Ironically, the devs behind burnout games, were going to create an fzero game, a new one on the wii u. They had scheduling conflicts or some shit. That saddens me. The burnout games are amazing. Then again, I just like racing games in general. Pres A to go and control stick or control pad left or right to turn. And in some games, a trick system that is sort of kind of used, and A button to jump. Racing games are the best. No need to be a pro. They just work for me. I don't care that Fzero GX is really hard. I just participate and lose most of the time. I don't care.

Remember when we were all floored when a game console achieved the ability to scale, rotate, flatten, and perspective correct a bitmap pixel image? The jump from 8-bit 3-color 8x8 or 16x16 sprites to full real-time bitmap transformation on 16-bit hardware was a revolution. Gaining the ability to perform Ray-Tracing Lighting looks rather pedestrian by comparison.
@commscan314
@commscan314 2 жыл бұрын
It's because ray tracing doesn't affect the ways you can play a game, it only really changes how the game looks. The ability of the N64, PlayStation, and Saturn to run 3D engines with full polygons changed the way their games were played compared to the SNES and Genesis, while ray tracing just makes shadows look better.

Yes, you're the only one that tears up when YOU hear this song. How on earth is anyone else supposed to know that YOU're hearing the song so that THEY can tear up at that moment? You probably mean to ask whether you're the only one who tears up "upon hearing this song."

*a nada.

I remember walking into my uncles room as a kid and it being a Nintendo gold mine. He had every system, NES to Wii set up and ready to play, with an insane amount of games. This was one of the first games I remember vividly falling in love with as soon as I heard the soundtrack.
