It's really not that uncommon for drivers to use 1st gear. There's a really tight turn on most tracks that would suit 1st gear

Limitless! i really love your timetrails/setups and i do listen to your advice since F1 2015. but is it possible for you to put a ''normal race setup'' in the videodescription for us? i play ranked and some guys go alot faster because of the setups, i know i can drive their pace but the default race setups just dont allow me. i normally do 25% races. love the work keep it up!

MashiatCOD99 They're really equal tbh. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and sort of meet in the middle lol but Ferrari is (or feels) quicker at Hungary, Monaco, Singapore etc. The more obvious tracks that suit their car

I'm really struggling with turn one. I have the same setup, in a toro rosso. I turn where you said, and I've payed close attention to your throttle and where you are shifting, but when I give it a go, my car over steers because I'm carrying too much speed. If I shift down a tad bit faster my car begins to slide under me, making my turn even wider. Today I literally sat for about an hour and half just flashbacking the turn to try to perfect it. I get an acceptable turn once every 20 or so tries. The problem is I never know what I did different when I get it. Any more tips any of you could provide ?

Yeah, that is the turn I hate the most in this game actually. I also struggle with it and am very inconsistent at it. But if you're getting oversteer that's probably because of two reasons. You're losing speed too quick (down shifting too fast) and/or you're turning in too sharp with your wheel or controller. I personally cannot get into this corner without a slight and quick press of the brakes at the start of the corner. I kinda give up. Also using Torro Rosso btw

sorry, i meant understeer lol. ive fixed the op to reflect this. i have tried tapping the brakes right before downshifting to 7 then turning in and that seems easier to do, im more consistent with it, but i lose time there. i fall a good bit behind my ghost right after turn 2, with most of my pace lost at turn one.

Lightly hold the brakes for the first part of the turn in around the inside of the curve and shift down to 5th then as you hit the top of the hill down into the right turn shift down again to 3rd lightly holding brakes for a split second again, it's what I do

yes you are correct plg and you only get advantage with it if you do it like limitless does, in the braking zone/cornering. from the point you hit the throttle you can also skip to gear 2 or 3 for a good exit without wheelspin as he shows in all his videos. (it looks stupid but if it works it aint stupid)

I just don’t get how you go through turn 2/3 without touching the brake. I spin out or slide off the track because the engine braking is not enough.

push the brake balance forward to 56 or more it stops the rear sliding before turn in then you get away with using the brake @ t2

actually you brake really quickly and with low pressure after the 50m board (about 20%), and then when you hit the apex you brake just a bit too (try not to turn to much and spam down the gears too fast :D)

I found it wayy too slidey for my liking, especially on Softs... Could be just the way I drive , but this setup was purely undrive-able in Sector 1 and 2... but makes up for all the lost time in S3
