The custom setup was actually beneficial in the race. I could visibly see the benefits. Qualifying wasn’t great, but I think that was due to driver error (not the setup).

Like others have said you need to learn how to conserve your power to keep your engine wear down. That being said working on durability and maintenance for the power unit will naturally help you as you go along. Its a learning curve and its really a blessing to have such a good group of people in your comments section so if they spot something you can adapt and improve they will let you know. 👍

A lot of the setup things like brake bias are more useful with no assists with preventing you from locking up as much and differential related to traction control

Great vid as always trev remember that ers you need to go to settings>assists>enable manual ers and you’ll have control but to bring up the ers menu it’s the same as the fuel mix menu;) it says button 4 is the one to bring it up for your wheel

honestly actually sticking to the line the game shows you would make your lap times so much faster you do good at it sometime but sometimes you dont let the car drift to the out side of the track after the turn and just stay in the middle if you let the car drift to the outside edge of the track like the line says everytime then let the car come back to the middle you would cut a significant amount of time off your laps and be alot more competitive

You can only use medium or overtake ers in the race in F1 2020 so its not your wheel. In qualy you can use none or hotlap ers and in practice you can use any of the ers modes.

Trev every gran prix you are only like 15 laps off your bonus , you usually run about 60 laps every weekend including practice and race , maybe you can practice a little bit more or run a couple of additional qualifying laps in order to get the bonus.

You can change it to mph in gameplay settings and formation lap plus lock up and shift your self

Trev, your ERS selector won't work in a race because it's set to automatic. It's a change they made for this year's game because it's how it is in real life. So all you can do is switch to overtake.

You cant change ERS during the race i dont think, my ERS setting where it says medium is blacked out and my binding on the wheel dosent work for it either. I like to put the car in lean mix and ideally have none on ERS when pitting up its still stays on medium

Trevor there are there are only two modes in the race normal mode and overtake but I practise and qualifying it is similar to 2019

To cool the engine run in lean fuel mix, makes the engine cooler, however less power but less wear on engine as well

There is no manual ERS this year in the races. Overtake button is all you get.
