Maybe it's not a game issue that's causing your BSoD? I don't really know which capture software you're using but maybe your capture software is causing it? The only BSoD-related thing that comes up for F1 2021 is a temperature issue, and to be fair my own PC heats up pretty badly when I play the F1 games.

The BSOD error code is WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR, which usually means (unspecified) hardware failure. It can be even caused by a loose connection somewhere

GPU is a touch warm CPU is fine so is the ram and M.2's. I can't see the MB vrm temps the 3900x is a bit thirsty on Power in comparison to the 3950x and some of the older X570 boards had crap VRM's. I'm in the UK and my R5 3600 suffer from high humidity and I have to turn it off were as the FX8350 seems to just chug along in any weather.

0:41 Your GPU is definitely running way too hot, could cause resets. Iirc there's actually a windows setting to disable PC reset when temperatures are too high, but then you risk simply damaging your hardware.

Hi Ben, if you wait for the next blue screen usually on screen there will be a crash code. This code will usually explain what component (if a component) is causing the crash for example of it were ram the crash code will show some form of memory error. Hope this helps finding a solution.

Hey Ben, sorry for being late to the show. I don't know if this is possible on your build. But i found during the summer, If i open up both sides to help dispense the heat quicker and it has helped me the past 2 years I've been doing it. Gets dusty quicker but that's a small price to stop overheating. May may/not work for you but could be worth a shot if able too.

Benjamin, I'm sorry to hear of the PC crashes and so on that are potentially leading to how it all started for us gamers in terms of recording on a cam. I myself am on the setup of recording on a camera rather than a capture device as I don't have one of those devices yet. Sadly for me however, I'm recording on a DSLR that can only record up to 12 minutes per recording, and it's also saps the battery life pretty fast, so you're not alone in the backup plan of your recording, believe me. But in terms of this episode, hard to see the MGU-H fail on you like that. I hope things do turn around come the next race, there's plenty of time to get the feel of it all.

This is my first time playing any F1 game so I turned all the assists off and made it as close to real as possible.after 3 hours I was able to make an actual lap. At France now in my career and quite frankly just glad to be here

Would need to know the exact error message for your blue screens, but to avoid losing footage in OBS, record in MKV instead of MP4, then remux the recording in OBS (File > Remux Recordings). If it's interrupted it doesn't corrupt the entire file.

You could change your OBS recording file type to MKV or FLV since it will keep the recording even if the PC crashes.

Ben maybe you should get a Cablemod power supply cable kit that matches your PSU, your GPU only gets power from an 8+8 PCIe cable, it would be a lot better if you had two separate 8pin PCIe cables, the other plus side is that those cables look nicer and you can choose from different colours too

It's stupid I know, but I can't help the slightly smug sense of pride seeing that the tiny itx pc I built myself over Christmas is not only more powerful than Bens but also runs cooler as well with only air cooling :) And no there's nothing wrong with those temps that should cause a blue screen, as far as I know anyway. Maybe worth doing the windows self repair where it keeps all your files and reinstalls a fresh windows. Solves a lot of undiagnosed problems.

I was grappling with a very similar blue screen issue for like a year. Ended up narrowing it down to motherboard, CPU or RAM. It eventually came time for an upgrade anyway, so all of that got replaced and I haven't seen a blue screen since.

Seen as all the GPU temps are at their max my best guess is that you GPU is overheating, you could start by cleaning out dust from it and checking if all the fans work, if so then try and set a more aggresive fancurve, less aggressive overclock etc.

@tiametmarduk GPU hot-spot is right in the blue screen territory. Sound like a barn door solution, but try with the PC side panel off and see if that extends time to screen of death.

Regarding the BSOD, you showed it in a fraction of frames but it looks like it is a WHEA Uncorrectable Error. That is: "The WHEA uncorrectable error is a stop code displayed during blue screen crashes, and is usually caused by some type of hardware failure. A failing hard drive, defective memory, improperly seated CPU, and a variety of other hardware issues can all result in a WHEA uncorrectable error" Meaning, you might need to go through and test each part one by one, replace or reseat, until you find the problem part.

I Saw your post on twitter and thought that the only temp out of the ordinary where GPU memory and GPU hotspot. Other then that temps look fine and the 2 that don't look fine are not a blue screen issue. I'm sorry but I think the only option is to waite for Nvidia to realise the new game ready driver. The only other option is trying to water cool your PC but I don't think that would change anything. Best of luck to you waiting exiteded for the next episode.

Temps are really concerning. If you didn't clean insides of PC for a while, didn't change thermal paste and other things like that, you should do it imminent. This should give you a really big cooldown. If not, try good old external cooling like fan.

Temps don't make you BSOD afaik, they make your PC shut down if it overheats. I commented some stuff on your other video, but the first thing for you is to research the error code the BSOD gives you. Hope it's solved soon!

I had plenty of BSODs due to overheating. In thid case I’d say everything seems good but his GPU, its running hot by comparison, predominantly his memory is a little worrying, but the overall temp is nothing worrying… odds are its a voltage problem on the cpu though I thought that was a 5000 series issue.

Ok, so had a look at your temps and it seems to be fine. The main problem that may have caused the blue screens would be your ssd's. It may have a fault in them and so you may want to replace them if possible as it wouldn't be the OS that causes the issues. Mainly mass storage, power supplies, and CPUs.

GPU is looking to be to hot. Check if the Fans are Spinning. Sometimes its a bad Driver so you can also try to Uninstall it using DDU and do a fresh install. If this doesnt help tell us what the Bluescreen Code is

Hi Ben. Do the basics run diagnostics thru the anti-virus of your PC and try to free up space by loading files(video) on a good external hard drive. Then reboot your computer and run diagnostics thru the reboot menu OK. Cheers

Quick hack try running your cpu at 99% max for the power management. I had the same issue last year. I have since replaced my ram an no more issues but my pc did not blue screen again at 99% on the cpu and you don’t notice much change in performance

My best ques would be that the cooling on your GPU is the problem. Not necessarily the actual GPU, but your memory temps on it are way higher than you would hope. Don't know if you have dusted your PC often, bout I would start there other than that it could be that you are just demanding too much from it at current outside temps if it usually runs near the limit already. Also if you are willing you could look into changing the thermal paste on the card. It's not guaranteed performance, but I have had an MSI card that got 10 Celsius cooler and the fan speeds halved, so there can be big benefits also.

Most SSD-s can have a max temp of 70*C. If it goes beyond that - bluescreen issues. I see your c: is already at 66*C in that screenshot. Open your PC cover to let more air in - is my recommendation.

Just a guess, but those temps are HIGH on your GPU and your CPU. If that is at idle, your CPU is way hot and will crash then when you start running a game. Ambient temps make it worse. My I9 chips I try to keep under 50c and preferably under 40c. High temps shorten lifespans of the cpu. Your GPU is also too hot. It may be just overheating and shutting down or getting the ram too hot. Depends on the rig.

I've been having the same issues with blue screening. The UK temps this week forced me into removing my side panel to get temps down, now I'll only blue screen if I play for a few hours non stop. Try turning your case fans up a bit?

The memory blocks on your GPU are too hot. probably due to poor thermal paste application at the factory(2080TI's are known for this). if you are confident in such things you could just carefully clean the old paste then reapply some new stuff. it could just be dust try running it with the side panel off the computer or taking it out of any cupboards, clearing any dust or filters in the case.

little late but: record in matroshka format. MKV doesn't need to be closed like for instance mp4 meaning that everything that was written to disk will be there and usable even after a hard reset / power outage. OBS can remux it for you very quickly and easily.
