Technically all he needs is the inside tyre to be on top of the white line and he's clear. He just does that to optimize his line and, therefore, his time. Nothing special.

some drivers like to set up their car this way, oversteer on entry gives you a straighter exit out of the corner so you can get on the power sooner from my understanding (correct me if i’m wrong)

@@jenkszy3684 definition of oversteer: to much steering leads to drifting and can slow you down. So over steering is less efficient than driving out because when you drive out, you have more control and that way you can use more throttle

It's a side effect of how the game detects corner cuts. Basically he only ever has two wheels on the track, but in this circumstance it's either his front wheels or back wheels rather than the two on the right.

Not sure if I like this game quit often on downshifts the rear wheels lock and I always seem to have a ton of under steer know matter how I set the car up and even on some of the default settings it’s bad
