F1 2023 Sokol International Racetrack | Charles Leclerc Onboard | Assetto Corsa

Here's an F1 onboard lap at the Sokol Circuit located near Almaty in Kazakhstan. Another circuit designed by Hermann Tilke, it is 4.495 km (2.793 mi) long and is marketed as an FIA Grade 2 circuit. It is Kazakhstan's first major motorsports complex, and it is set to host MotoGP races in the near future. The Kazakhstan motorcycle Grand Prix was originally planned for 2023, but the inaugural event was pushed back to 2024.
This Formula 1 hotlap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Charles Leclerc using the F1 2023 Ferrari SF-23.

Excellent lap. But I don't believe this track is made for Formula One in the future. It is very suitable for MotoGP. For F1, I even believe that it would be better if it were in the opposite direction, counterclockwise. I missed the replay with the external view. But I don't know if it was available. @@Mitsos1311 As suggestions for upcoming videos in the United States, in the 90's IMSA used a lot of street circuits like San Antonio, Minneapolis, Des Moine, Columbus, Tampa, Del Mar, West Palm Beach, New Orleans, Meadowlands. Belle Island and Washington could be included too, but that's more for the year 2000 onwards, and not just for IMSA, but also for ALMS and Indycar. All these circuits are actually not very suitable for an F1. But it would be interesting to see a quick lap in one of them.

MotoGP was due to race here this year, but it was cancelled last week. I'm glad it's cancelled, if you designed a track to eliminate all overtaking, this is what I'd design. Flat too, there's no saving this circuit.

I really like that turn 5 very hard to read. Really like the corner before and after the longest straight very technical and tricky. Surely it is designed for motoGP purpose but even F1 car would challenge well there. Great Mitsos as always

This is a better track than I gave it credit for, on paper it’s an absolute snoozefest. It definitely seems like Tilke tried to do what he accidentally created with Istanbul Park - design a circuit and realise it’s better the other direction. Didn’t really work in this case but it makes the first sector and the fast corner at the end of the long straight very interesting.
