Surprised you didn't pick up on some sus commentary during the race. Crofty praising Piastri for leap frogging the Mercs with his pit strategy, when he came out behind. Colapinto went off trying to pass an Alpine, and then on the following replay on the next lap at the end of the first DRS straight got past an Alpine. Martin said that would be a definite penalty for gaining an advantage. Huh. Thinking Yuki is wanting a pit stop, when he is wanting the team to orchestrate a swap with Ricciardo.

I’ll be one of the first people to criticize Ricciardo: his performance this year hasn’t been enough for him to stay on over young talents like Lawson, Hadjar, and further down the road the likes of Lindblad. Back in April I was absolutely certain he should be replaced, and to be honest I’m not that big a fan of his personality. With that said, the way the Red Bull family has treated him this year has been absolutely shocking: yes he had a very ropey start to the season where Yuki easily destroyed him, but Daniel started to improve drastically - just look at his performance in the Miami Sprint. By around Silverstone I was pretty sure that he deserved to stay in that seat for the rest of the year, maybe even earning a promotion to Red Bull for next year only as Yuki and Liam fight to become Max’s teammate for 26. Cut back to now and how it’s almost certain that he’s going to get the classic Hardhat Marko treatment I can’t help but feel sorry for him.

I wrote to rb to pit daniel into clear air but didn't realise I had to tell them onto hards they truly are the worst strategic team in f1 then they put yuki onto softs to do half the race on. Thank God I can now unfollow vcarb now
