They also need to fix the career mode, so many bugs like ai start on slicks in wet conditions, and if you pit for wet tyres you’re tyres overheat as if the track is dry, the academy bonus doesn’t work if you start in f2, it’s basically impossible to lose rating, the ai become overpowered with battery and traction after some races in career.

To be honest, at first the handling was a shocker! But as soon as you get to know the handling model and find the setup matching your driving style it is really fun! F1 24 will never be a simulation.

I really struggle with this handling at very hard braking zones at slow corners T1 bahrain for example with over rotation. I just lose the rear at times, I hope that will be fixed as well with this update

Im super happy about the change. I play on controller. And last year i was top 2-3% in TT. This years game i cant get anywhere close to that!! Its just impossible to play on a high level in this game with a controller. So im praying the new update will bring us controller players back into the race

I am enjoying F1 24 a lot, really good feeling with the gamepad controller for PS5. Can really feel the different handling characteristics for each vehicle this year and all is fun to drive usually testing 5-10 laps staring with HAAS to check how much I can improve track by track. Also consistency is better this year. The oversteer into slow corners is an issue that need some adjustment but overall the game is really good at least for the PS5 and controller. High speed corners and the great grip gives the game a special feeling. F1 23 had difficulties hitting walls because it was difficult to do the steering correctly.

I was very critical of the handling model at first but one thing I hope they do keep is speed dependent downforce. It may need a little smoothing out though and part of that feeling might just be a result of the extreme grip. Don’t want to go back to the grip levels of 23 or especially 22 because as I’m someone who almost exclusively driver formula cars in AC and iracing so while the low grip may require more skill in a sense it gets annoying when a simcade game make a car unrealistically harder to drive. Just seems goofy. The main thing that they need to fix is the initial turn in sharpness and the weird over-under-over steer. Other than that I honestly think it’s not too bad so wouldn’t make drastic changes in areas like general grip. Edit: oh and definitely fix your the career mode bugs.

I agree with this video holy crap! I was enjoying the grip myself for a bit but 😢thought it too much after a bit. It shouldn’t be as bad as 22-23 though. Might as well play ice racing. Grip feels just too tangible. Dial it back a touch. I agree about braking as well!

I do like the traction/grip in f1 24 but sometimes it is unrealistic they just need to find a good balance, people just gotta remember these are formula 1 cars at the end of the day they have sooo much downforce and grip in real life but overall I hope codemasters can make majority of people happy with whatever changes they make to the handling.

Handling isn't the only issues, unreal amount of bugs that need addressing! Think the 1st patch will have to have a whole lot of updates (even if they have to push it out 2-3 weeks)

I think they also need to increase the power loss above 12000 rpm cause it's ridiculous that you can keep in in 7th gear and hardly lose any power when overreving the car.

The game is terrible. Typical EA, same game as previous year with an updated title. Didn't even try to get a new voiceover for the crew chief. If people would stop buying their garbage, perhaps they would take the time and put out a decent product.

What do people think how the Traction is in a F1 Car? Those Cars could theoretically drive on a Ceiling. The Grip is amazing in these Cars. You dont need to fear anything even if youre a Complete new Comer in a Real F1 car you will be able to drive it once you fire it up. I played every Game so far and this is the Closest to a Real F1 car. Looking at Data and Telemetry. And also Verstappen with his Team worked on this Game i dont think he feeds them with wrong Information. I dont know why every person is getting lazy to spend some time to Figure out how this Works and Setups are to be made.

The issue with the F1 games has always been and continues to be the disparity between whether or not they are trying to deliver a Sim Racer or an Arcade Racer They are trying to cater to both sides and it just doesn't work.

Handling is one of about 100 things wrong with this game. Clearly wasnt properly vetted upon completion. Truly a lazy and downright criminal cash grab. No driver changes, less tracks, a FAR more arcade driving style and a broken arcade ERS mode. Bugs, glitches, wet weather issues(where is the spray? Why are the cpu still on rails in comparison)

The handling is just nonsensical. Corners that aren’t flat out irl are in the game and a lot of tracks feel lifeless (Spa in particular) with no real bumps or challenge. The grip in high and medium speed corners is way too much and low speed corners feel like trash. The worst F1 game I’ve played since 2015 imo.
