F1 like everything else European, started out like a "gentleman's sport" you know? It's interesting and refined and - then you have Nascar, Which Nascar's roots are straight up from the days of prohibition where small fast cars were used to transport illegal alcohol across the states. These guys would later race each other, see who had the best cars, and after Prohibition and the war was over, they needed something else to do and boom Nascar was born. The fact that Duct Tape is a "surprise hail mary" kinda thing to the announcers in F1 - but a "standard move" by Nascar announcers also kinda goes a long way to show the difference between the 'culture' behind the two sports. if you haven't already, you should definitely react to Ross Chastain's "Video Game Move" - not sure which video would do it justice, and a lot of people made videos on it - but it's definitely... an interesting maneuver. lol

When a single NASCAR race can have more passing and lead changes than an entire season of F1, F1 just seems... formulaic. Typical European mad because your cars don’t make more than 120 hp, boo hoo cry about it

Imo this is why f1 doesn't want an American team, you give us a chance we will show up.

FUN FACT! That Le Mans NASCAR car had nothing common with NASCAR cars! Emgine, gearbox, suspension, electronics, chasis, everything was different! If you put a REAL NASCAR car in Le Mans, will be down at least 30 sec per lap
@codymoe49867 ай бұрын
Care to point out the major differences in the engine, the gearbox, the suspension, the electronics, and the chassis? Or should we just take you at your word? P.S. Funny how you never mentioned aerodynamics, the one blatantly obvious difference between the LeMans version and the "REAL NASCAR car"...

FUN FACT! 3:15 The video above states "the fundamental components of the engine stayed exactly the same as the stock car"...Whoops! PRO TIP...If you have a well built engine, all you need to do is turn up the fuel, air, and spark...not replace/redesign the entire engine. Now you know!
@VelocityRaptor327 ай бұрын
Even if that was true, of course it would be slower at a track like that. Would you expect a super car to be able to drag race a topfuel dragster?

The engine and dogbox were the same for the g56 car as the cup cars. I find it funny. They could've pushed 800whp and would've been fine. They used to have a 950whp package back in the day and the blocks really haven't changed much from their carborated fathers and grandfathers. But I would assume they went with even safer than fine. And still killed it out there.
