12 years ago: AlphaTauri won the Italian Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel in Lights to flag dominance. 1 year ago: Gasly was fired by Red Bull, and would lose his friend Anthoine Hubert in 2 weeks span. 24 years ago: The 1996 Monaco Grand Prix saw the last French Winner, Olivier Panis, take the top step. 10 Months ago: Gasly took down Lewis Hamilton for P2 in Brazil. Storybook endings are real. If this isn’t one the best races in F1, or most emotional, I don’t know what tops it. Congratulations to AlphaTauri and Pierre Gasly on the win in the 2020 Italian Grand Prix! We will miss you, Claire and Frank Williams.

The teams don't record the interviews to control the drivers, they do it 1. to hand out the interview to press which isn't there to record it for themselves, as well as for their own websites/social media 2. as an archive in case a driver gets misquoted, then they can show what was actually said. What makes Gasly's win all the more emotional, was that Anthoine Hubert told him to "Prove Them Wrong" when Gasly got unceremoniously demoted from Red Bull. Now a year on from Anthoine's death, Gasly's done exactly that. It really hit hard to watch him sit there on the podium alone for a moment, just to take everything in. Anthoine must be proudly watching, somewhere above.

After serving a penalty that put him almost 30 sec behind the last car, Lewis made it back up to 7th with less than half the total laps left in the race. That should be mathematically impossible. From the back, he had to deal with a lot more dirty-air and his car wasn’t the fastest in a straight line on a track with very long straights. More laps and Lewis would have been on the podium. Meanwhile the cars in the top 5 places had difficulty closing 1-2 sec gaps. But lEwIs hAmIlToN iSn’T A bEtTeR dRiVeR, iT’s tHe cAr. Lewis and Bottas have the same car. Bottas floundered and stayed were he re-started. On top of that, Lewis was having the same engine settings issues as Bottas. If Lewis isn’t much better than the rest of the drivers, Bottas should have ended up on the Podium from 5th. If Lewis had restarted the race from 6th or 7th, he could’ve won. Lewis has a better driving IQ and better reflexes. He’s the GOAT. I don’t expect you clowns to give him the credit he is due because we all know the real reason you don’t like or respect him.

On the Stroll "Free pitstop tyre change" when the race was stopped. Am I wrong or was something like this what lost a certain win at Monaco for Jenson Button all those years ago when the other teams all changed tyres in the time while the race was stopped? Button had been well in front, but his tyres went off the cliff later after the restart because his team had changed his tyres just a little before the race was stopped. All the other guys then got a free pitstop and he couldn't hold them off with older tyres after the restart. I remember shouting at the TV at the time - "UNFAIR!" but no one said anything about it.

*Since Formula 1 is not use to the Pit Lane being closed under a Safety Car. Why would they not adopt Closing the Pit Lane like American Racing series does? Which would change up the Racing. For Example: If a team Pits before a incident happens on the track, and A Safety Car is dispatched, Race Control close the Pit Lane immediately. Then once the field Stacks up behind the Safety Car, then Pit Lane opens up. The cars that Pit before that Safety Car and Pit Lane closure are considered lucky and gains track positions. That would Change up Formula 1 completely and make the Racing more interesting and entertaining...! Also, get rid of the Virtual Safety Car Period!!! Who all agree? Add that to your New Rules FIA / Formula 1 / Stewarts...*

The random tracks selection from the FIA this season only making races much more unpredictable. Next year teams will be able to plan for the whole calendar so will be back to mostly to predictable finishes.

Well, clearly banning engine modes works. I heard Crofty talking about reverse grid order... and after today I have to say... HELL YES!! Qualifying hasn't been exciting for well over a decade... time to shake things up!

How is it works? LH broke the track record, and the result of the race was based on luck(or a mistake) not by performance(not taking the merit of Pierre and Carlos that was amazing).
